It said that you have to actually spend $75 in order to get the free subscription when I tried it.

Sandy, I think this is a separate offer from the one displayed at the top of the page. This is for creating a registry, and the offer does come up when you create a registry and add an item to it.

Thanks, A Frugal Friend! It looks like the Redbook one is the same as I posted, but the Town & Country is new to me.

Hi there! I signed up for a birthday registry and I did not receive the pop up for a magazine offer. I had the same one as Sandy. But….that is ok because I found great birthday ideas for my son and room decor ideas for my daughter. So thank you for recommending the site.

Hi, Michelle! Did you add an item to the registry? When you add an item, the pop-up will show up.

You have to “add an item to your registry” not to “your cart” to get the free offer.

I figured it out. I had the registry on private and as a WL and not a Birhtday registry. Thanks a bunch.

Also, if you received a free subscription to Wondertime, which was similar to Cookie, it’s ceased publication, so they’ll likely replace it with a free subscription to Cookie. It’s a great magazine!

I got Women’s Day and Metropolitan Home, but when I go to One Step Ahead nothing happens when I add an item to the registry. I added four or five things, turned off my pop off blocker, and tried it in Internet Explorer and Firefox. Any ideas?

Hmm, did you already have a registry? Maybe go back to the beginning and create a new registry with a new email address. Then login with the new registry account and add an item to the registry.

No, it was a new registry. I created the first one as a wishlist and thought that might have been a problem, so I made a new one as a birthday list. I’ll try a new account and see if that works.

OK, I created a new account, this time from Internet Explorer, and it worked. Not sure if that was it or not, but I’ve got Family Fun now! Thanks for the links!

It definitely cannot be a wishlist…once I changed mine to a birthday registry, then the pop-up came up immediately (after I’d already placed items in my registry). Thanks for the tip!

I was able to get the Family Fun for free, thanks! I tried for the Women’s Day and it was asking me questions to see if I qualify for free business magazines. If you qualify for the business magazine will it still send you the Women’s Day also? Upon checkout it wasn’t listed. Only the business magazine. Thanks!

I got the Family Fun. it’s my fav, and I have never paid for a subscription for it. I had to go back and add something to the registry, not the cart, and then chnage it from wishlist to birthday.

Same thing happened to me, I created a registry for one step ahead and it didn’t give me the window for the subscription…just the note up top that if I spent $75 I could get it.

It sounds like you may have missed a step somewhere, Liz. Sign up for a new registry, not a wishlist. Login to your account, and make sure you add an item to your registry, not to your shopping cart. It should show up on the screen when you add the item.
