FREE Johnson’s Buddies Soaps Are Back

June 4, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 52 Comments

Free Johnson's Buddies SoapsI’ve professed my love of Johnson’s Buddies Soaps in the past. They smell great, are easy for the kiddos to hang onto, and last a long time – all attributes that make them tops in my book.

So I was super excited when Kaley from Cha-Ching On A Shoetring emailed to tell me there’s a new coupon out that will score FREE Johnson’s Buddies Soaps!

Buddies Soaps are priced at just $0.99 at most stores, including Walmart and Target, so “buy” 3 for FREE with this $3/3 coupon:

$3/3 Any Johnson’s Products (IE) or (Firefox)

Make sure to hit the back button on your browser to print two!

Hope they don’t question it, since the Q says “excluding 4 oz” and the Johnson Buddies bars are less than that (at 2.45 oz)… and nothing from the “buddies” line is pictured.

Yeah I was wondering about that myself. I really like to stay withing the coupons guidelines.

Good question, but I think we’re okay because it’s only excluding the 4-oz. size. It doesn’t state 4-0z. or less.

There was a coupon in one of the newspaper inserts awhile back for $1/1 any Johnson’s baby product that expires 6/10/09. It also says “excludes trial sizes”. Would this coupon also work?

It only let me print one as well; however, the coupon I mentioned above worked for the soap. The clipped coupon I had was going to expire on the 10th, so yay!

I’m having trouble printing the Crystal Light coupons. I had tried to print them earlier but my internet was acting shoddy and my queue stopped halfway through. Now coupons.com thinks I’ve printed off my limit of Crystal Light and I can’t print any more! UGH! Does anyone know of another link for the Crystal Light coupon? I know some coupon sites offer the same coupons, I just can’t think of another coupon site that offers coupon.com-type coupons. Thanks!

Walmart also carries J&J diaper rash ointment for a little over a dollar and that is what I plan on using this coupon towards since I have soooooo many bars of Buddy soap! Good to stock up on the cream!

The last time these came out I used them to purchase the Buddies soaps without any problems and the last batch had a coupon that didn’t have the Buddies picture either :) I still have a HUGE stash left over!

Thanks for the tips about the diaper ointment and q-tips. How much soap do we really need? I picked up so many last go round. We still have a closet full even after sharing with family and friends and donating . (I really don’t want to be known as the “soap lady”.)

Sonya- just out of curiosity, how do you pick your cashier? (Perhaps this is more of a forum thing… ) I tend to pick the younger, happier looking ones. Anyone else have some good tactics (?sp) And yeah, I only could get 1 to print, too! :(

Glad to hear that I am not the only one that got one to print. I read somewhere else that these could also be used on the J&J first aid kits that are sold at walmart for about 99 cents. I am going to check out the diaper rash cream…I have a neighbor that is having a baby and I am sure she could use some!!!

I’ve never had a problem with the $3/3 at Walmart. At Target, I’ve had problems with ALL of them, even the ones with the Buddies pictured (they are priced at .97 here, so the cashiers often don’t realize they can adjust down; of course, some push it through and I get overage!). As for picking cashiers, Target is the only place I’m picky. I look for younger guys (early 20s) first, then younger gals. I stay away from older ladies.

I could only print the coupon once. I was also curious about the wording, but I will give it a try at Target. Danielle, I do the same thing with the Target cashiers. I once had a cashier, an older woman, put my coupons down, push and spread them all apart, then go through to match up the target Qs with MFR Qs when I already had them all nicely seperated. What could have taken a few minutes, probably took 10 or more.

Laura, this isn’t a trial size, so the newspaper insert coupon should work as well.

Not sure why it’s not printing twice – sorry about that!

I went to Target last night and my older lady cashier wouldn’t let me use the coupon since it wasn’t pictured. Then after all 25 coupons she said that I was robbing them! She was really rude ! I will try Walmart next time.

I used the $1 Johnson’s baby item from the newspaper to buy Buddies Soaps at Target 2 days ago, and IT WORKED.

    Thanks for this new coupon!

Susan I don’t get that! They get reimbursed for Manufacturer coupons so how can you be robbing them? It might be worth a call to costumer service. That is not ok that she said that and I don’t handle that kind of stuff very well!! Probably would have started crying on the spot! haha

TIP: I don’t even have little kids but what I do is cut off the “gripper” stuff so that it is a plain ole bar of soap. I keep a bar at my kitchen sink to use. Have TONS of these. Love free soap!

I’ve been buying them with the $1/1 Johnson’s baby item coupons that have been out since what seems like forever. These coupons come out at least once a month it seems. They typically sell for dirt cheap on ebay in lots of 20 (if anyone wants to stockpile them!)
Not that I would know anything about that. =)

It came up that I had already printed my coupons – but I hadn’t printed any. Wanted to get the soap for my nephew who just separated from his wife. They have a 2 year old (cute little boy) and his grandparents (my B&SIL) watch him every day. Any ideas as to why they wouldn’t print?
