FREE Gillette Fusion Razor from ShopText

December 26, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 43 Comments

Free Gillette Fusion Razor
I’m sure this great freebie from ShopText won’t last long. So text PRUEBA to 467467 to get a FREE Gillette Fusion Razor while supplies last.

Note that you’ll receive a text back in Spanish asking you to reply with your age and then a second one asking you to reply with your state. You’ll then receive your razor in about 4-6 weeks!

Not sure what ShopText is all about? Here’s more information on texting for freebies with ShopText.

(Thanks, FreeStuff4Free!)

When you do this, do you get all kinds of junk text ads?

I got several texts asking for more information. maybe because it is a new phone, although the service is 4 yrs old. Anyway, from what i can tell,
“obtendremos tu direccion” means address (number and street, not city).
    “codigo postal” = zip code
“telefono de casa” = home phone number with area code
“nombre y apellido” = first and last name
    HTH someone.

Does it normally take the entire 8 weeks to ship free items? I registered and requested my first on Nov. 11th. The 8 week mark is January 6. Anybody have experience with it that could estimate their usual wait time?

Has this code already expired? I just tried and got a message back saying the shortcode I attempted has already expired and is no longer a valid short code…?

I just tried it also. And the Laundry detergent is expired. As for the razor it told me that they were looking for people the age of 18. So, I guess all other ages is done with. Dunno… The other’s, the nestle, and always samples are expired too. And you have to get them from Food Lion, I think. It said that is was a Food Lion coupon. And expired December 24, 2009. So, I guess all of them are expired now.

I just did it through their phone number instead of texting 1-888-778-3221 and the offer is still working. I’m also a lot older than 18, lol. The phone call took two times because it’s a bit hard to understand in their English version. You select 2 for English and then 1. You have to be patient with the option on 1 and I think you have to select 1 a second time, wait and eventually it will ask for you to enter your age, etc.

Thanks! I called the 800 number posted in the comments and it worked for me. My husband uses these razors and I always get so upset when I have to buy new blades because even with a coupon they are expensive. Free makes my day!

Wow, the English was hard to understand! Thanks for posting this great freebie though. As Heartland Hannah posted, you don’t have to do it via texting. You’ll press 2 for English, then 1, and 1 again and it will prompt you to enter your birthdate, name and address.

    1. Text PRUEBA to 467467
    2. After receiving the next, put in your age.
    3. Wait for the next, put in your state.
    4. Next text is just confirmation, and a phone # if you want terms/conditions.

I just did it and it went through fine. I have been doing shop text since they had the Campbells Chunky soup coupon, and I know that had to be over a year ago. I haven gotten everything I ever text for, unless I got a response back saying they were already out. I also text in a UPC for Clearasil once and got a free clearasil acne roller pen.

The phone message doesn’t sound legit to me. Why would a company like P&G have someone who you can barely understand doing the prompts for a promo? Does anyone know for sure it this is legitimate? Some on another site said that when she listened to the terms and conditions (what she could understand), she heard that there is a charge to your phone for the service.

My cell phone carrier blocks access. When I asked them why they said the organization offering this “deal” is a known criminal group involved in identity theft!

They blocked access because this particular ShopText exposes you to the Mexican crime syndicate that is behind the attempt to mine your data. They didn’t say anything bad about ShopText, they warned about giving the Mexicans your information.
