Enter to Win a Pair of Dockers Soft Khakis (5 Winners!)

February 15, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Dockers Khaki and Red PantsYou may have seen the Dockers Men Without Pants commercial during the Super Bowl. It was all about men stepping up and wearing the pants – even though they weren’t!

Today, I’m giving away 5 pairs of Dockers Soft Khakis in either a classic khaki color or a cool red.

This is how it works: prove that men ARE wearing the pants and that #chivalryisnotdead – especially on Valentine’s Day. Leave a comment (and if possible, link to a pic) about what your guy did for you on Valentine’s Day and I will select 5 winners at random to receive a free pair of khakis!

You have to post by noon tomorrow (2/15), so don’t delay!

+++++++++++++++

Every reader has four methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, or three for up to a total of 3 entries!!!

If you are reading this in your email or feed reader, please CLICK HERE to visit the original blog post to enter. Email entries will not be counted.

Methods of entry:

1. Leave a comment. What did your guy do to show that#chivalryisnotdead?

2. Share a picture. Leave a link to a picture of your man’s chivalrous Valentine’s Day act in a separate comment!

3. Tweet it. Share your V-Day surprise on Twitter, including the hashtag #chivalryisnotdead. Be sure to come back and leave a separate comment with the link to the tweet!

Prize:
(5) pairs of Dockers Soft Khakis

This giveaway ends at noon EST on Tuesday, 2/16 and is open to all U.S. residents 18 years or older. I’ll use Random.org to select the winning comment. Winner will be notified by email and listed on my Giveaway Winners page. Winners must respond within 48 hours of notification to claim their prize. Good luck!

My husband took me and the kids out for a great dinner. Our oldest, who was visiting for a week, brought his girl home to meet the family. On V. Day, he went into the room where she was sleeping and slipped a ring on her finger. It was pretty romantic.

My husband bought me one of the nicest cards that said it all and bought me Lemonheads, my favorite. I didn’t want him spending money we don’t have on flowers or anything else. It would have just stressed me out. What he did was perfect.

He cooked all my favorite foods (steak, baked potato, corn, spinach salad and cookies), and he brought me flowers (he had me convinced he wouldn’t do flowers on V day) and chocolate and a card! It was so sweet! P.S.- He really needs a pair of khakis!

My husband and I dont celebrate Valentine’s day. However, he helped me out by shoveling the driveway, vacumming and mopping the floors, and (finally) shaving off his beard! All this meant that we were able to get the chores done a lot faster and sit down to enjoy the rest of our Sunday. I definately think all that is so much better than roses and chocolates and it certainly derserves a new pair of pants!!

I wasn’t feeling well, and he took care of our son all day while I took at 4 hour nap and lazed around. Also, he always opens the door for me, frequently warms up the car, and doesn’t go more than a couple months without bringing me flowers. Wow…sounds like I’m bragging, but I just like him :)

Even though dh’s mom had a stroke late last week, he still got me 18 long stem roses! Even better, he brought them in the house and hid them, then set them up in a vase after I went to bed so I found them in the morning! What a wonderful surprise!

We don’t get a lot of snow & ice in our area, but we did this weekend. He made sure to clear the sidewalk so that we would be safe.

My husband sent me the most beautiful roses and chocolate. He was traveling last week and we don’t know anyone to babysit so we didn’t get to go out on Valentines day.

My man did not do anything. We are really hurting on money right now and it’s been getting to him bad. He actually decided to start a fight so I would be so mad at him that I didn’t want to do anything with him. Not exactly a shinning moment. He must have felt bad about it though cuz mon morn when I got up for work he had already ironed my shirt, gone to the gas station for coffee and smokes, and scrped all the snow off the car. When I got home he had already started dinner. Hoping to cheer him up a bit, new pants would be nice for interviews :)

Everyday of my life with my husband and family is special. So, Valentine’s Day is no big deal to me. We all went out to dinner and an Islanders game that day and had a fantastic time as we usually do.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
