Raise your hand if you love The Home Depot!
Thought so – I mean, what’s not to love? I get inspired to do some sort of household project just walking through their doors.
Here’s another bit of inspiration on a more serious note.
Through Feb. 28, The Home Depot is offering a commemorative “Dream” gift card celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. When consumers purchase the collector’s edition “Dream” gift card, The Home Depot will donate five percent of all sales to the Center for Civil and Human Rights, up to $1 million dollars. The donation will assist in the building of a permanent exhibition home for his personal writings and papers.
The collection of original documents by Dr. King includes more than 10,000 items, among them 7,000 handwritten notes spanning from 1946 to 1968. They include drafts of his “I Have a Dream” speech, his “Letter from a Birmingham Jail,” other theological writings and his Nobel Peace Prize addresses. The King Papers will be part of the exhibition offering of The Center for Civil and Human Rights. The Dream cards can be purchased at any store, or online at homedepot.com/dream.
Talk about amazing and inspiring, huh?

I am inspired everyday by my mom. She takes care of my dad who is now disabled, goes to work now after being retired for over 8 years and yet still spends time to spend ALOT of time with her grandkids and myself. She is my inspiration!!!!

My parents are definitely my inspiration. Despite having very little to give, they always do so with all of their heart and all the gusto they can muster up. They have never let me down and never cease to amaze me. They give to everyone and anyone who needs it…no matter the circumstances.
Thanks for the giveaway. :)

I get inspired to be more creative in my home and with my parenting when I read all the blogs out there that are devoted to those subjects. It’s amazing the ideas for what to do with an ugly room, or the encouragement you can find when you are feeling like a particularly bad parent.

The children in my family inspire me. They look to us as all-knowing protectors and they are sure that we will always take care of them – at least until they become teenagers. Then it’s a whole new ball game.

I am inspired by my Sunday School Class. We are a bunch of women of all ages. I am 66 and there are some that are only in their twenties. We are not large but we have a love for God and our families and our community and our country, in common. I leave my class each Sunday uplifted by something that was said or done. If one hurts then we all pray for their healing. If one is discouraged then we form a bond of prayer to uplift them and give them courage. Our class is not just a teacher and class but each person contributes to a part of it by sharing their ups and down. One lady shared how God had been faithful all of her 80+ years and shared how God had kept her even though she lost her husband and had been alone for many years. Being alone myself I could relate and she inspired me just with her life. Thank you for the giveaway.

I am inspired by my children. They show me the innocence the world should have before evil and corruption can be planted in their minds.
