Raise your hand if you love The Home Depot!
Thought so – I mean, what’s not to love? I get inspired to do some sort of household project just walking through their doors.
Here’s another bit of inspiration on a more serious note.
Through Feb. 28, The Home Depot is offering a commemorative “Dream” gift card celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. When consumers purchase the collector’s edition “Dream” gift card, The Home Depot will donate five percent of all sales to the Center for Civil and Human Rights, up to $1 million dollars. The donation will assist in the building of a permanent exhibition home for his personal writings and papers.
The collection of original documents by Dr. King includes more than 10,000 items, among them 7,000 handwritten notes spanning from 1946 to 1968. They include drafts of his “I Have a Dream” speech, his “Letter from a Birmingham Jail,” other theological writings and his Nobel Peace Prize addresses. The King Papers will be part of the exhibition offering of The Center for Civil and Human Rights. The Dream cards can be purchased at any store, or online at homedepot.com/dream.
Talk about amazing and inspiring, huh?
I have one of these commemorative gift cards loaded with $50 to spend at The Home Depot to give away to one Deal Seeking Mom reader!

My daughter inspires me every day. I know that sounds cliche, but on my worst days, I look in her eyes and see her beautiful little face and know that NOTHING is more important that her happiness and safety. That gets me through a lot.

I’m a scrapbooker, so my biggest inspiration is my daughter. The colours of her clothes, the expression on her face, the things that she says and does… they all inspire me to create ways of preserving those memories.

I find inspiration many ways… my husband… my son… my relatives… my friends… learning from others especially about saving money and couponing… reading about inspiration like Barack Obama’s The Audacity of Hope… being thankful for what I have despite the fact my husband lost his job and is still looking… the ability to watch history in the making… and much more!

What inspires me? Probably my mom and all the things that she’s gone through in her life and who she is today.
For writing, I’m inspired by music and other books.

What inspires me is when I see someone that is going through a rough patch ,who has a positive attitude and is not letting the hard times defeat them.

My baby inspires me. She is happy to get up – every single day. She is excited to see new things. She is excited to see things that aren’t new to her, but that she’s forgotten about. :o) Life is such an adventure for her.

Well, this could be a hard one. I could say my friends, I could say my family, but the truth is, I’m inspired by my Dad. Yes, my Dad. The Dad that goes to work early every morning, and comes home late just so we can have everything that we need. The Dad that gives up all of his desires to give us ours. The Dad that selflessly works hard so that we can have food on the table every night. The Dad that still finds time to love and spend time with me when there are many other jobs to do. That Dad, is my Dad, and he’s the one I’m inspired by. This woudl be a gift I could give my father on his birthday(2 weeks), that will truly say “thanks”
Thanks for the chance to win!!
