Raise your hand if you love The Home Depot!
Thought so – I mean, what’s not to love? I get inspired to do some sort of household project just walking through their doors.
Here’s another bit of inspiration on a more serious note.
Through Feb. 28, The Home Depot is offering a commemorative “Dream” gift card celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. When consumers purchase the collector’s edition “Dream” gift card, The Home Depot will donate five percent of all sales to the Center for Civil and Human Rights, up to $1 million dollars. The donation will assist in the building of a permanent exhibition home for his personal writings and papers.
The collection of original documents by Dr. King includes more than 10,000 items, among them 7,000 handwritten notes spanning from 1946 to 1968. They include drafts of his “I Have a Dream” speech, his “Letter from a Birmingham Jail,” other theological writings and his Nobel Peace Prize addresses. The King Papers will be part of the exhibition offering of The Center for Civil and Human Rights. The Dream cards can be purchased at any store, or online at homedepot.com/dream.
Talk about amazing and inspiring, huh?

My grandmother inspires me a great deal. She is full of wise and wonderful ideas. We are currently working on a complete home remodel and my grandmother gave me a ton of inspiring ideas for the kitchen, entryway and master bathroom. They are ideas that I would never have thought of on my own.

The women in my life inspire me. From my best friend fighting bone cancer to my silly sister with 28 cats! They are proud, powerful women who cry with me when I need it. And kick me in the pants when I need that too! Every woman should have the ladies I have in my life.

I’m inspired by my Mother. She’s one of the hardest working women I know and has always done everything she was told she couldn’t do on her own (including raising 3 girls without a man to take care of her).

Even though others have said it already, I have to agree that I am inspired by the two little boys in my life. If we all looked at things through the eyes of a child, there would be a much more kind hearted, yet spirited world.
