Hi. I just got back from the CVS and i’m very upset. I bought 2 Neutrogena lipglosses (all Neutrogena cosmetics are bogo this week) and the checker didn’t take 2 manufacture coupons for them. He said that you can’t use a coupon for a free item, but i think their corporate policy says different. Am i wrong? Thanks :)

Thanks for the heads-up, Anne-Marie! I didn’t notice Little Swimmers or Splashers on sale when I was there earlier today, but I’m definitely going back to look – and stock up for next summer.

Olga, here is an excerpt from an email dated 7/13/09 from CVS Customer Relations regarding their coupon policy:

“In the case where a particular item is on sale for “buy one get one free” (BOGO), you are only allowed to use one manufacturer’s coupon. For instance, if Revlon lipstick is on sale for BOGO, you can use one manufacturer’s BOGO coupon. You would get both items free & pay any applicable tax. The Store Manager can limit quantities.”

That being said, I have never had a problem using two coupons on a BOGO sale before, but technically the store can refuse one of the coupons if they choose to be strict on policy. It’s one of those unfortunate YMMV situations.

Also, regarding the Huggies/Caregivers Marketplace rebate: please be aware that Huggies Natural Fit has changed to Lil Movers, and all packs of Huggies (Snug & Dry, Natural Fit/Lil Movers, Pull-Ups, etc.) have reduced by 3 or more diapers per pack with new UPC barcodes on these new packs. These new UPC barcodes aren’t listed on the Caregivers Marketplace rebate form, and from what I’ve read, they are not yet honoring the $0.75 rebate for the new packs until they receive confirmation from Huggies that they will include these new packs in the program. I’ve been told by a representative from CM to hold onto these receipts and submit them once they have the issue straightened out. Some stores still carry old packs of Snug & Dry and Natural Fit diapers… mostly in Size 6 from what I’ve seen… but I have not found any packs in smaller sizes that are listed on the rebate form.

My CVS would not let me buy just one of the Schick Quattro for Women Razors (BOGO). I did not have two coupons. I went back and used my $4 coupon and the $4 ECBs from the Schick razors purchased earlier. The cashier (a young guy) thought it would be crazy to buy just one and not get the other for free. I explained to him that some stores 1/2 the BOGO items. He checked and the other cashier said the only time they would do that is if they only had one item left.

Starting today 90% off summer clearance items and going fast!

I bought the Coppertone Nutrashield and they wouldnt let me use 2 coupons. So I used the $5.00 and didn’t use the $2.00 one. So I paid $1.99 plus $1.00 (in tax) and paid a total of $2.99. Which is still a good deal for that sunscreen but would’ve been better to use both coupons :)

Where would they let you use coupons on the same item ? An one not being a store coupon. I hear you can use one store coupon and another one. But 1 has to be a store coupon. Am I wrong? The post b4 this one thinks you can use 2 an 1 not being a store coupon. So I want to make sure I am couponing correctly.

Thanks for sharing deals everyone! I paid $1.29, got back $6.00 ECBs! Not a great week in terms of deals, at least I didn’t think. But I still managed to come away with some great finds for very little out of pocket cash!

My CVS doesn’t have swim diapers on sale yet… still $8.99 with no discount. I imagine that’s because it’s still 90+ degrees here in Texas.

However, my CVS still has the cardboard bin of Arm & Hammer travel-sized toothpaste for $0.01. Yes, that’s a penny, not a typo!
