CVS Deals Week of 9/28/08

September 27, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski 14 Comments

Looks like a great week for CVS! There are several freebies and an opportunity to start stocking up on Halloween candy. Even if you don’t need more toothpaste, toothbrushes, or other toiletries, please consider picking them up anyhow to donate. With the way the economy is headed, the shelters are going to need our help more than ever!

Update 9/28 – Some regions received a different ad (Central Ohio being one), so be sure to check your Sunday paper or the online store circular to confirm which deals are valid for your region. Sadly if you’re in the alternate ad area there are only three ECB deals – Coke, CoverGirl, and Colgate.

I have a question about meeting a limit to get ECB’s. I bought 2 of the Viva 8pk rolls of paper towels but they didn’t have anymore so I couldn’t complete the $25 to get back my ECB’s. I did get a rain check but I was wondering if I do get the papertowels or the toilet paper will I still get my ECB’s back? I hope this makes sense.

I saw a good deal for this week at Walgreens on the becentsable Grocery Gathering website. It was buy 3 Children’s Tylenol or Infant Drops at $ 4.99 each, get $ 5.00 in Register Rewards. You can combine the deal with (3) $ 1.50 Easy Saver Coupons from the October brochure , and with the online printable
$ 5.00 off of 3 Children’s Tylenol Manufacture Coupon. The link for the online Tylenol Coupon is available on becentsable. This makes the final cost for 3 Children’s Tylenol products $0.47 after coupons and RRs.

Thanks, Leah!. That’s actually the deal that Mercedes and I were discussing in the Walgreens deals post comments. The coupon is from a scanned copy of Bi-Lo’s weekly ad that is put on their site for customer convenience and probably was not intended to be distributed to the public at large in this manner, so I removed it from the list.

Dorothy, I think it depends on how they wrote the raincheck. They should have written it for the price of the paper towels minus the ECBs, because they will not generate if you purchase them after the sale is over. I would go in and speak to whomever wrote you the raincheck if they didn’t use the pricing after the ECBs and ask if they adjust it. I’d take your other receipt showing that you already purchased two towards the promotion to be safe.

In response to leah: If you use the $5 off 3 tylenol products at Wags, it will not produce a RR; b/c both have the same bar code. Just figured I would let you know

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
