The $5/1 Coppertone Coupon DID work for the deal, I got the $2 ECB when I bought it and used the IP coupon.

    Thanks!

so if you can buy 20 soyjoy, do i buy 20 and use 10 bogo coupons or is there an advantage to buying 40? little confused on this one.

    Awesome – thanks, Jess!

Angie, to maximize the deal you’d want to only purchase 20 bars and use 10 coupons. That way you’d only pay $10 out of pocket but earn $20 in ECBs. Does that make sense?

I heard somewhere that CVS is now taking coupons from other stores. (Walgreens, Publix, etc) Has anyone else heard this and is it true?

Jess, was the nutra shield on sale at your store or was it $12.99? It wasn’t marked on sale at our store but I didn’t price check and should have.

I went to CVS yesterday and picked up some of the NutraShield sunscreen for 8.99. I used the 5 off coupon and received my 2 ecb back, making it only 1.99. My sunscreen was marked 12.99, but I told the cashier that the ad said Coppertone sunscreen 8.99 excluding the face stick so he did a price adjustment. He had to manually print my 2 ecb for each, but didn’t seem to mind. Also, just FYI I found a great deal for the Aveeno sunscreen as well. For those of you who have the 10/3 positivley ageless coupons left, Aveeno now has positively ageless sunscreen for 9 dollars. Buy three to make it 27-10 coupon-10ecb= 7 for three sunscreens :)

CVS has always pads on sale for $4.99 there was a coupon for $4 off always infinity 28+ct in the P&G insert not sure the date??? making them only $.99 (I got two of these) no ECB’s but cheap and made a good filler for me to use my $4 off 20 in store coupon and $10 ECB from the lens wipes last week :) I also got the crest 2 pack 4 soy joy bars (that’s all they had left I intended on getting 20) and 2 therma care heat wraps all for $.49 and got $11.98 in ECB’s back!

Good one, Brad! My husband would say it’s the case in our house too, LOL, so if you find that rehab, he may sign me up : )

Jess, thanks for the tip on the Always – I’m headed out to pick up one for my grad student daughter who is the happy recipient of most of my freebies including the Soy Joy bars this week and lens wipes last round! I hit our stores at 6am Sunday morning to make sure I could pick up 20 in the only flavor she likes – took three stores total but I did get them : ) Last Soy Joy freebie at CVS the shelves were wiped by Sunday noon so at least I learned….

As far as Nutrashield sunscreen, the local stores in the QC’s (IA/IL) won’t adjust – they said they are different products and not covered by the ad. So I tried hoping to score some of the high spf cheap for my fair-haired (as in skin burns easily) daughter in SoCal, but no luck on that one! Can’t win them all but I’m still super happy with recent CVS bargains!

If you go to the Thermacare website you can print out two coupons for $3 off. The coupon says off a 2 pack, but I used both of them on my 1 packs. I bought 2 packs of Thermacare, gave her 2 $3 coupons, and paid 30 cents because she said she could only take 1.98 off of the 2nd pack because the computer said so. So I paid 30 cents tax and got $4.98 in ECBs back.

    Good luck!

A BIG HEADS UP TO YOU ALL… I got 20 soyjoy bars…as I finished eating one, I looked down and saw the package had expired APRIL 2009. I look at some of the others and found MORE expired soyjoy. Beware guys. That’s just disgusting. I probably should’ve looked before I ate it but I made the mistake of trusting cvs.

Since I’m new to couponing I wanted to double checked with the manager at my CVS in Grandview Heights, OH to be sure if I used the Sobe BOGO coupon that I would indeed get two free and pay for one. He said, “no, you pay for one and get THREE free”. Needless to say I was happy that I had two BOGO coupons so I got 8 bottles for $2.78 !!!

Thanks to everyone for sharing your deals. It really helps those new to couponing who don’t have a lot of time.

I tried to do the soy joy deal and my first transaction went fine, but then a manager came over and said oh, no, we can’t take any coupons for those because they are already free with ECBs – I was sooo mad, I drove 35 minutes to get these and had to leave without them :(
