If anyone has a copy of the Parents (May) Magazine, there is a $3/1 CVS coupon for Pampers (page 95)… combined with this week’s sale, as low as $2.49/pk… I subscribe and luckily got a hold of two other magazines… in addition, I have ECBs from this weeks ECB deals so it should make some really cheap diapers… still $2.49/pk is pretty cool.. happy CVS’ing!!!!

…btw, give the CVS coupon first. The manufacturer coupon will beep if you dont give the cvs coupon first. I learned that the hard way :(

Do you ever have trouble stacking B1G1 coupons with another coupon like in the toothbrush example? I was at CVS last night doing a similar deal with softscrub and the manager told me I couldn’t do he. I was taking money from the manufacturer if I did that. I told him that I had never had a problem in the past. He told me that he could make any coupon go through he could even make my balance zero if he wanted to, but that didn’t make it right. I didn’t buy the products, and left feeling embarrassed.

Carrie here is a copy of an email received by a poster on the We Use Coupon forum which should prevent any problem in the future with using a BOGO coupon on a BOGO deal. I have used this letter myself when shopping at CVS. The cashier’s don’t really like it, but they will abide by corporate policy :

      4/08/10
      Dear Ms. XXXX XXXXX,

Thank you for contacting CVS in regards to our coupon policy. It is not our policy to accept expired coupons. I have listed some information for you below in regards to our coupons.

CVS/pharmacy does accept manufacturer’s coupons that have been obtained from an approved Web site sponsored by the manufacturer. The coupon should be complete and contain a bar code that can be scanned at the register.

Please feel free to visit http://www.cvs.com and go to the “Save With In-store Coupons” box and click on “start printing now”. To print coupons, check the box next to the Clip! icon, (or click “Select All Offers”) and then click “Print Now”. Please note that these coupons can be redeemed at CVS/pharmacy stores only and all manufacturer requirements must be met.

Our registers are set to allow 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. CVS Extra Buck coupons are earned when you make a qualifying purchase. These print out instantly at the register upon reaching the threshold for the offer. Free coupons or “offers at the register” are unearned and issued to you as a valued member of the CVS/pharmacy ExtraCare program. These coupons take the form of “open ended” coupons such as $3 off $15 or a certain dollar amount off a specific item. In any given transaction our registers will allow only one “open ended” coupon per transaction and more than one Extra Buck coupon provided the purchase threshold has been met for each offer amount on a per-transaction basis.

In the case where a particular item is on sale for “buy one get one free” (BOGO), you are only allowed to use one manufacturer’s coupon. For instance, if Revlon lipstick is on sale for BOGO, you can use one manufacturer’s BOGO coupon. You would get both items free & pay any applicable tax. When an item is on sale for buy one, get one free and the customer has a buy one get one free coupon for that same product, the coupon will be accepted and both items will essentially become free (plus any applicable sales tax).

Also, two manufacturer coupons can be used on a buy one get one free purchase as long as two items are scanned at the register. The system logic sees two items scanned and will allow two coupons. The Store Manager can limit quantities. We also accept coupons on clearance items.

Again, Ms. XXXXX, thank you for contacting us. We value your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Have a great week!

Carrie, I had the same problem with my covergirl B1G1 coupon from last week I was told that I could not use my B1G1 and my $1 off. The cashier was so rude about it and I too left embarassed.

I used to have that problem. Rite Aid wouldn’t take both once, and likewise CVS. But now, for some reason unknown to myself, I have had success with this at another Rite Aid and all CVS’s. I have heard that you should give the single coupon first and then the BOGO. Don’t have a clue why.
