These SmartSource coupons are actually from Sunday inserts. The information in parentheses provides the insert and date it was in the paper. You can generally find them for purchase on ebay or a coupon clipping service.

I’m really glad you mentioned donating the glucose monitors. I hope that people who truly don’t need them aren’t hording them for some weird reason, selling them on ebay, or worse, tossing them out once they’ve turned their profit! Diabetic supplies are very expensive, and the new boxes of meters usually come with some test strips in them. Test strips normally run about $1 a strip, and a lot of diabetics test 2-3 times a day. That gets REALLY expensive quickly. Every little bit helps some one on a fixed income, (or my broke family, with 1 diabetic in it)!

Thanks, Liz. I totally agree with you. I don’t know if it’s like this everywhere, but around here they’re usually dusty on top and look like they’ve been sitting on the shelf for ages, so I feel like it’s a win-win-win. CVS gets rid of the merchandise, I get a few more ExtraBucks, and someone that really needs the glucose meter gets it for free!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
