Clorox continues to introduce products to make cleaning and disinfecting easier, and the ToiletWand is no exception. Cleaning toilets is definitely high on my list of chores that I detest. It’s an icky job and one that I have to do frequently with the number of people in our household.
The Clorox ToiletWand took much of the ick factor out of this chore. I give it high ratings for its ease of use and convenient and clever storage. The holder keeps the wand and refills right next to the toilet in an attractive manner, and the refills pop off easily when you’re done cleaning so you never have to touch them with your hands. My toilets were sparkling and clean in minutes.
So what’s the downside? At $10 for the starter kit, it’s a little on the pricey side. This is only enough for six toilet cleanings, so you’re definitely going to get more bang for your buck with a standard toilet brush and cleaner.

The only way I get bathroom cleaning done is to do 1 little thing every day. I would never last if I had to clean the whole bathroom in one swoop! So the secret is tiny little steps. :)

I use Comet, Ajax or generic scrubby type powder to pre-clean toilets and showers. Just flush or wet down the shower, then sprinkle the Comet in/on and let it sit for a little while. This gives you time to clean sinks, mirrors, etc. Then go back with a toilet scrubber and scrub the toilet as usual, and let the “Comet-y” water sit in there to continue sanitizing after you are done. For the shower, just use a wet rag to wipe down everything and remove the Comet. Sparkles!

I have a kaboom never-scrub system in my toilets, and that helps to keep the bowl clean for much longer. Also, I found a recipe for a natural cleaner in Good Housekeeping awhile back, and I just use that on everything in the bathroom. I keep a spray bottle of that, and a couple microfiber cloths in each bathroom, and it makes it much easier to just spray everything, then go back and wipe everything down and I’m done!

My best tip is clean it often. The less time the bathroom has to get gross, the easier the cleaning is.

I HATE to clean the bathrooms–we have three of them in our house….ugh. lol This would make the job a bit more tolerable—I hope! Thanks!

I use bleach and Comet or Ajax for the tub’s soap scum. The trick is not to let it get too dirty or it becomes an impossible task! Mine does get dirty too quick because we use the Scrubbing Bubbles automatic shower cleaner.

My tip, spray everything first and then by the time you get back to the first thing you sprayed, the chemicals have done most of the work for you.

My bathroom cleaning tip is to clean something while I’m already in the bathroom anyway. So I take an extra minute and wipe down the mirror and sink while I’m using mouthwash, give the toilet a scrub when I’m waiting for the shower to warm up, etc.

Tidy, swish and swipe the bathroom every day – then it doesn’t end up being a looooong job to do!
Lisa
I was having trouble with mold/mildew spots growing on the calk around our bathtub, and none of the cleaners I tried were working to get rid of it. We tried squirting toilet bowl cleaner on the spots and it worked like a charm.
Melissa
I squeege the shower doors each morning BEFORE I get out of the shower…no buildup = no scrubbing!
I too love the Clorox toilet cleaners, but I also agree they are pricey and only purchase with a coupon/sale combo…
THANKS for the opportunity to win!

I love to use natural cleaners like baking soda and vinegar and water. Plus they cost next to nothing and are eco-friendly:)
