Walgreens: Official Coupon Policy Now Online

Stop the presses! Walgreens has finally posted their official coupon policy on their website. You will definitely want to print it out and keep a copy of it with you when you shop.

I know that many people have expressed frustration with the stores’ inconsistency so this should help alleviate some of your frustration.

Here are some highlights:

When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased. Previously, most stores only accepted one coupon because one item rang up as free.

The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value). This should prevent stores from refusing your coupons in this situation. I know this has been particularly frustrating for many people.

Walgreens accepts valid internet/print-at-home coupons.

The policy also explains Register Rewards and the rules for redeeming them as well.
