There’s no doubt that being a mom is a hard job – the hardest job there is! And while the rewards are absolutely worth it, I’ve teamed up with Jamie from Circle of Sentiments to offer you something a little more tangible this week!
Isn’t this necklace that she created for me gorgeous? I opted to go with the first initials for all of my kids since some of the longer names wouldn’t fit on the small size discs that I selected. I was a little skeptical of how the finished product would turn out with so many discs, but I absolutely LOVE it.
I’m so impressed with the quality and craftmanship, and when I wore my necklace to Blogher, and I received dozens of compliments on it while I was there. It’s quickly become one of my favorite accessories, and I always wear it when I travel as a reminder of my kiddos.
One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a custom necklace with up to two discs from Jamie’s Signature Collection, valued at $65!
To enter, simply leave a comment and tell me about your most rewarding moment as a mother.
Jamie is also offering Deal Seeking Mom readers 20% off their Circle of Sentiments’ orders using coupon code dsm at checkout. Be sure to check out all of her beautiful collections to take advantage of this offer!

There are so many moments, but the best was when my 21 month old told me she loved me just out of the blue!

1 year ago I was watching my oldest son graduate from 8th grade – a boy who struggles horribly at school. Towards the end of the program, scholarships and awards were handed out. I love my son, but know that these things were not in his future. At the very end, our local representative came to the podium to award an acheivement award from the state to the most improved student. She emphasized that this child did not necessarily make the best grades but impressed the teachers with his willingness to work hard and try his best. I could believe it when she called my son’s name, he came forward , turned and smiled at me crying standing in the crowd. He and his teachers decided this should be my special secret surprise on this happy day.

I’m going to add your link to my blog also! I love all your deals. I have been digging the Walgreens this week. Just got back from picking up my free 8×10.. it was funny cause the check out lady kept scanning it and it kept not coming up as a price then she checked to see there wasn’t one. I also got my free 25 prints and then my 2nd 25 for .25!!
awesome!

When one of my 4 kids runs up and hugs me and says “Mommy I love you!”

The best thing is the hugs and kisses. I can’t put a price on that.

I’m lucky that my favorite mom moments come frequently when I’m out with my 5 year old twin girls and 4 year old son (who is about the same size and looks so much alike that everyone thinks they are triplets!) — I get so many compliments from strangers on how well behaved they are. They have fun in stores and explore, but never too loud or out of control. And they listen to me!! I am so lucky.

I love that my 9 year still wants me to walk her into school so she can give me hugs and kisses and “I love You” before I leave her. I also love it when others complement how well behaved they are (my 5 and 9 yr. old)
:)
As a mom, I feel truly rewarded when I get a compliment from another parent on one of my three childrens’ manners, kindness, respectfulness, or other redeeming qualities. It makes me feel that through all the bickering, fussing, rebelling, burping, etc…they really are “getting it”. They are actually “getting” that they need to be somewhat civilized in public or when they are guests somewhere else. It gives me great pleasure(and a good night’s sleep) to know my hard work and sometimes hair-brained schemes to get them to behave are really working. ; )

most rewarding is the songs I get in the morning and the smiles. Also today when in an elevator with my son he exclaimed….I love you momm and daddy!! awwww made me melt!

Seeing my daughters face light up and having her run to me for a hug, whether I have been away for hours or been in the room the whole time. I’ll take snuggles and hugs anytime! :) I love watching her learn new things and the pride in her face when she figures something out, with or without my help.

The most rewarding thing about being a mom to me has to be those moments when my children thank me. The time my, then 5 year old, son almost slipped in the tub and I caught him – “thanks for thinking about my safety” was his comment. The time, just a few days ago, my 2 year old had a splinter in his hand and I had to work to get it out. It was painful and he was crying up a storm but when it was over, his comment? “Thank you mommy”. These are the days I cherish. Being a mom is a lot of hard work, but worth every moment!

this is awesome! My most memorable moment as a mother actually came with the birth of my 3rd child. I had to be put under when my twins were born and did not get to experience their birth via c-section. So when my 3rd was born, without complication and I got to hear his first cry, see him immediately and hear the words “Its a boy!” – it was truly amazing! He gave me so much in that moment…I will never forget it!
