Back-to-School Giveaway: Custom Circle of Sentiments Necklace

August 19, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski

Circle of Sentiments Initial Necklace

Tune in all week for hot Back-To-School Giveaways. We’ve got some great prizes for the kids, with a couple of special prizes to pamper mom!!! Look for a new 48-hour giveaway each morning and each afternoon, and be sure to check out all of the current giveaways for other great prizes!

There’s no doubt that being a mom is a hard job – the hardest job there is! And while the rewards are absolutely worth it, I’ve teamed up with Jamie from Circle of Sentiments to offer you something a little more tangible this week!

Isn’t this necklace that she created for me gorgeous? I opted to go with the first initials for all of my kids since some of the longer names wouldn’t fit on the small size discs that I selected. I was a little skeptical of how the finished product would turn out with so many discs, but I absolutely LOVE it.

I’m so impressed with the quality and craftmanship, and when I wore my necklace to Blogher, and I received dozens of compliments on it while I was there. It’s quickly become one of my favorite accessories, and I always wear it when I travel as a reminder of my kiddos.

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a custom necklace with up to two discs from Jamie’s Signature Collection, valued at $65!

To enter, simply leave a comment and tell me about your most rewarding moment as a mother.

Jamie is also offering Deal Seeking Mom readers 20% off their Circle of Sentiments’ orders using coupon code dsm at checkout. Be sure to check out all of her beautiful collections to take advantage of this offer!

Both of my children so caring and attentive and giving to others. That is the most rewarding thing for me as a Mom. Knowing that my husband and I have set that example for them.

one of the most rewarding parts of being their mother is when my daughter said, “Mommy, we really love each other here, huh?” Makes me feel like all the bad days and crabbiness isn’t what sticks in her mind, but the love she feels at home…precious!

another really rewarding part of being a mother is when my husband said, “I don’t know how you do it all and do it so lovingly”. It was so nice to know that my work here at home matters and that my family notices how much love and work I put into it. I always want them to know that I love them and do it all for them!

another really rewarding part of being a mom is the hand holding…every now and then, my three year old will just grab my hand and squeeze it. This reminds me to forget the laundry and cooking, and just live in the moment and play with these precious little souls!

To date my most rewarding moment being a mom was this:

During college my husband and I were given a small “green Gideon” bible and the bus stops. My husband has kept one in his desk drawer at work in case someone wanted it. One day we went to his work to see him. He brought the Bible out for my three year old. He was so excited. He said it was his first “real” big Bible. Then he told us that the Bible says, “You have to go to church on Sunday”. He carried it around for days wherever he went. He went over to our next door neighbor and showed her it. He discipled to her by saying, “The Bible says Jesus loves You!”

I put this in his journal so I can always remember that he did this.

What a beautiful necklace! Every minute with my boys is rewarding. First words, first steps, listening to the ABCs 50 times a day, having the most beautiful kids in the world call me mommy and give me hugs and kisses. What a wonderful life!

My most rewarding moment to date is the other day when I was driving him to Pre-k and we were listening to music. He said, “Mom can you turn the music up, I want Jesus to hear this one too!” I couldn’t be more proud of my son at that moment.

Most rewarding moment…probably watching my son be such a loving brother to his twin sisters. No jealousy…just affection. He’s a snuggly, loving boy!

My most rewarding moment as a mother is when I’m breastfeeding my infant child and he or she looks up at me with a milky smile. It brings tears to my eyes.

She’s old enough now that when she’s tired or hurt, she wants MOM instead of anyoe else. It feels like all the hardwork is paying off when you are the one they turn to for comfort.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
