We do all the laundry one day a week. Everything is hung out on the line to dry. To soften and remove and remaining wrinkles, everything is placed in the dryer for 10 minutes before folding & putting away.

My best laundry tip is to get everyone involved! We all pitch in at my house so that it is not such a daunting job for one person!

I try to do one load of laundry a day and fold it as soon as it gets done in the dryer. That way I don’t get a mountain of dirty clothes or a pile of clean clothes waiting to be put away.

I have three hampers. One each for whites, colors and and mixed. My family would throw them in the appriate bin and then when each was full I’d do a load of clothes. So much easier than separating them when you decide to wash. It makes for less clutter in the laundry room as well.

I only wash in cold and do not just dryer sheets with the towels, they don’t soak up alot.

I only buy laundry detergent on a good sale. I wash everything in cold water. I also tear my dryer sheets in half.

I pour approximately 1/4 cup of liquid fabric softener in a large spray bottle, then I fill the remainder (up to the bottom of the bottle neck) with water. I shake up the mixture before each use, and then I spray four to five sprays of the mixture on an old wash rag. I toss the rag in the dryer, along with each new load of laundry. No dryer sheet waste anymore!!!

I use my dryer sheets several times each. They continue to work well until they start sticking to the clothes. When that happens, I know it is time to break out a new sheet!

I must be a complete nerd, but I have always wanted one of those flip folds. I even debated spending the money to buy one. My personal tip is to try lighter fluid on a stain that nothing else has budged. (Only do this as a last resort on an item that would otherwise be ruined.) I can’t count how many items of clothing my mom saved by doing this as I was going up.

I try to do a load or two every day so it doesn’t get piled up…but when it does I just spend a day washing and folding…grr. I also always use coupons on laudry soap when I have them. It helps because laundry products can be expensive.
