I scour the clearance racks every time I shop, and spend a lot of time at Kohl’s and Marshall’s.

Hitting the end of season sales are our lifesavers. Right now I buy summer clothes for next year at a great price! Plus my friends and I recycle our kids clothes. We all get together, bring our children’s clothes that are outgrown but still in good condition and let the kids go to town picking out new things!

Discount stores are a great way to stretch the budget on children’s clothes. Thrift stores will sometimes even have brand name children’s clothing for extremely cheap.

It seems like as soon as I’m done shopping for one season, they’re ready for a new one…LOL. I LOVE Ross and TJMaxx as my first stores. I love to dress my kids in name brand, quality things, and they are always very reasonable. If I cannot find anything there, or not all of it, I look for things at Target on clearance. Then, I repurpose items. We live where it’s hot in the day and cold in the evenings in the spring and fall, so pants and jeans and boots are used most of the year, in the evenings anyways. I LOVE to let them wear dresses, just add an inexpenzive long-sleeved shirt and some tights and you’re good to go! I buy my kids jeans from Old Navy in a size too big, and they have the elastic to adjust the waist. They last much longer that way. I layer sweaters over summer tops for simple, cheap warmth. I bought their jackets last fall from the Gap on sale, and the’ll last through this year, because I bought them a little big. I was just in TXMaxx this morning, and they have the cutest fall sets for my girls, and they’re like $15 for $30 sets, and they are sooooo cute and instyle.

Well, from experience I’ve found that purchasing key clothes like denim jeans, khakis, etc. basics that can be worn w/ pretty much any color and fabric is a great staple to have in their wardrobe. They’re easy to match, and buying tops for the summer in lighter colors and thinner material keeps the kids a little cooler in the hot heat of the day.

I get a lot of clothes at yard sales and thrift shops along with a few new items. That way the grandkids can wear a lot of different outfits at a very low cost. Thank you!

I stretch my kids wardrobe by buying a basic layer and then dressing the basic up with cute belts, jackets, cute top shirt you can make the same outfit look different in so many ways.

To stretch your dollars spent on your kids’ wardrobe: think layers!
For the girls, a sleeveness top can be worn in the spring and summer and then be layered (like a vest) over a long-sleeved shirt when cooler weather comes roaring in.

Also, buy only 1 or 2 kinds of matching socks. If a sock gets eaten by the washer or is lost, there are still some mates to that lone left-ver sock. Happy shopping!

I love to buy clothes for my son at the end of each season when there is a ton of clearance. I buy stuff in the next size so he can have them for the next season, but they were so cheap!

Buy separates that you can mix and match. A few pieces can make up a great wardrobe.

    I also shop the sales.

I buy several heathered gray and white longsleeved tshirts because they are usually very cheap, and match with most colors. Then I layer one under a summer shortsleeved tshirts or polos. Hoodies are also a plus because they work over shortsleeved tops and are totally on trend. It is a hip, cute look for boys and girls.
