Tune in all week for hot Back-To-School Giveaways. I’ve got some great prizes for the kids, with a couple of special prizes to pamper mom!!! Look for a new 48-hour giveaway each morning and each afternoon, and be sure to check out all of the current giveaways for other great prizes!

Looking for more ways to stretch that back-to-school budget? If so, T.J. Maxx and Marshall’s may just be the way to go. To enter, tell me your best tip for getting more out of your kids’ back-to-school wardrobes. Do you layer summer tank tops to get more wear? Do you throw capris under summer skirts to take them into fall?

We are on a hand-me-down chain of friends, but when my boys still are in need of clothes, I try to hit the sales and check the clearance racks for next year.

I bought my grand daughter 3 sleeveless jumpers, 3 short sleeved shirts and 3 long sleeved shirts. All mix and match. Then I got several pair of leggings to go with them. Shes thrilled she gets to pick what to wear and they all look great!

I always shop end of season clearances, and buy ahead for the following year. This helps out tremendously.

Buying solids is a good way to stretch wardrobes…no prints to match! Also, I LOVE adjustable waist pants…my daughter is wearing capris from last summer thanks to adj. waists!

We put leggings under summer dresses. After a summer of growing taller they make nice long tops.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
