YAY!! First comment… I LOVE the layered look for my kids and myself! Long sleeves under a cute dress with funky leggings, even leggings under a skirt or shorts, vests rock any outfit for boys or girls, too!

Thankfully, my boys with close birthdays are enough apart in size that we had down most things (that don’t get worn out). We also shop consignment & garage sales. Most new items are for back-t0-school, school photos, or a holiday like Christmas or a new Easter outfit. Thank you!
Whitney
I am very big into layering! My daughter always has on a few, especially in the fall! I love the look of leggings and boots with a summer skirt. I find skirts and t shirts are the easiest things to use over and over again. Thanks for this great giveaway!
Ashley
I try to buy clothes that really mix and match with eachother. That way I get tonz more outfit options.

First off, I don’t shop for back to school clothes until it startes getting cool out. She wears her summer clothes for at least another month! After that, she wears long sleeve shirts under her T-shirts, leggings under her skirts, etc.

Lucky to have boys that are just two sizes apart, I realize that when I spend the extra money to get quality clothes, they last through both of the boys. TJ Maxx is an awesome help!
Joyce
Would love to win either of these! With all the money I have saved due to this site I can buy something new for Fall!

I shop clearance at the end of the season.

I buy a lot of natural colors that I can match with everything and get a lot of different outfits out of them. Shop store sales, end of season sales. Put items up for the following year, shoes are always less than half price at this time when the season ends.

Washing clothes as little as possible and hanging them to dry as much as possible reduce wear, and make clothes last longer.
TARA!
I love to shop end of season clearance racks. Then as the new seasons approach we “shop” in our closet! ( : Thanks for the great contest!
Jessica
My daughter loves to layer short sleeve shirts over long sleeve shirts. She is always cold and this style keeps her warmer while letting her get more use out of her summer shirts.
Becky
We are big on consignment sales, yard sales, and hand me downs!!
Elizabeth Taylor
Both these stores help me stretch my back to school shopping dollar!
Amy
We put long-sleeved shirts under short-sleeved ones. Voila! We’re ready for cooler weather!

Please enter me =] my tip has to be buying a staple item for their wardrobe, which is something they can always wear with annnything in their closet. whether that is a favorite pair of rhinestone-studded jeans or a neutral colored sweater, I know this is something my kids can wear over and over again =]

I love all these giveaways! My son is still an infant, but the way I stretch the clothing budget is to buy off the clearance rack (usually a size or two ahead of what he is currently wearing).

We stretch the clothing budget by getting clothes at garage sale for super cheap!

my first year school shopping… keeping it so simple…
Telisha
Five kids and all of them need new clothes. I would love to win your giveaway.
Thanks

I hit the clearance racks at the end of each season to buy for the next season and I do not buy unless its at least 75% off or more. We have outlet stores near our home but my teens prefer the clearance racks at Kohl’s and Marshall’s. The rule is 3 new shirts with 1 new pair of jeans and we recycle as much as we can from the previous year & if it doesn’t work we head to our local Goodwill & Salvation Army thrift stores to supplement. This year we found my son a new pair, tag still on of Tommy Hilfiger mens jeans for $4.99 at our local Salvation Army thrift store. We then donate all of my sons outgrown gently used clothes and shoes/sneakers/boots to our local veterans home.
