    The new Dawson model looks very cute! I’d love to get that for my boy. As for choosing shoes for him, affordable, comfortable, and durable are the first things that I would consider before anything else.

    I look for sturdy shoes that are not only cute but that are easy to get on and off too! If I won, I would chose the Sophia style- super cute.

    I look for something substantial that will stay on their feet and give support while walking to and from school, playing on playground each recess (I have younger kids preschool and 1st grade and schools require this in a shoe) and one appropriate for gym. No flipflops or such for school!

    Velcro! I love cute fashionable shoes that are easy to get on and off. I like that my daughter is just old enough now to get her shoes on and off without my help so I’m happy to give her easier access to that without the hassle of laces or difficult hightop shoes.
