Fit is so important for little ones shoes, of course so is comfort (so they’ll actually wear them), and the ability for them to be able to put them on all by themselves!!
    Teton style.

I look for three things: durability, washability and hard rubber around the toes! For boys, I would add that darker colors are better, too. I hope these new styles have these features.

Number one importance to me is the affordability. Being a mom on a limited budget, this is always foremost on my mind. MacKenzie model is really cute.

I really look at versatility – whether they can use them with dresses, pants, and shorts, so that I don’t have to buy too many pairs of shoes for all different outfits/occassions. I would buy the MacKenzie model for my daughter…totally cute comfort for her first year of preschool!

Durability would have to be my top thing I look for.

I think the most important thing besides the obvious (good fit) would be a supportive insole for the arch. My family has very high arches and with out the support as we get older we have some serious foot problems

When I am buying shoes for the kids, first and foremost is cost. They outgrow them so fast that I’m always wanting more bang for my buck. Secondly, styles they will wear. There’s nothing worse than bringing home shoes that the kids immediately think are stupid!!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...
