My daughter just loves leftover pizza in her lunchbox! I try to change it up and try different things to prevent “sandwich burnout!” Some other winners have been veggies and PB or ranch(snap peas are her current favorite), tuna or cheese and crackers, and salads (especially mini taco salads). I like to include notes in her lunch occasionally, too.

I try to make their lunches healthy and fun by introducing them to a new fruit a day. I put it in a container and on the lid it says what is it? That became a big hit at school by the kids trying to guess what fruit it is. What surprised me is they actually do try it.
Thank you!

My son loves PB&J everyday, so I put it on 7-grain bread (and cut it into dinos b/c he loves that). I also usually provide a cheesestick and a fruit of some sort. Then a treat like fruit chews, yogos or a nutri-grain bar. I also give him 100% juice.

I like to make my dd salads. She has a square container with a center well that you can put the dressing in so that when it’s time for lunch she can add the dressing then.

I used to include knock knock jokes or puzzles in my son’s lunchbox. My kids love fruit and yogurt or strawberry cream cheese with celery.

My son loves juiceboxes. I always pack a 100% juice juicebox in his lunch. I also send a bottle of water for him to keep at his desk.

Cutting sandwiches into fun shapes makes school lunches more fun. Adding lots of cut up veggies makes it healthy and delicious too!

I love to include both fruit and dairy in the kids lunches, veggies too if i can get them to eat them and always something healthy to drink, absolutely no soda or sugar filled drinks. I love the sandwich cutters they have now, they come in all shapes and the kids love them and hate crust’s so its great for them, they feel spoiled and super easy for me to do.

My son eats the school hot lunch but I encourage him to drink milk for his drink choice.

I love to use the 100 calorie pack items because they are easy, but most importantly they don’t have a lot of calories. The portion sizes are great for a child and so they don’t over eat.
