While my little one isn’t old enough to go to school yet, I do make my husband lunch to take to work with him. I do put notes in his lunch from time to time and when I make him a peanut butter sandwich I put treats in it for him.

I make sure my kids have the basics they need to pack thier own lunch. I then sneak in a treat-possibly candy or brownie from time to time.

Hi! I like to make “deli picks” for my 10 year old son for his lunch. I place cheddar cubes, organic ham or turkey (rolled up and sliced into sections), a black olive, and a grape tomato onto a toothpick. Sometimes I include a small container with some organic salad dressing in it, so he can dip the deli items in a “special sauce.” Also I “made up” a sandwich called a “Jammin Ham” sandwich, which only has organic ham and Polaner’s jam on it. He loves the name!!! I’ll do anything to get my boy to eat nutritious food!!

entry 1 – my kids love color and fun shapes, so if i can incorporate that into lunch they gobble it up

Kids healthy — we really try to limit the sugar grams in the lunches. That might mean scrapping the fruit juice and replacing it with a piece of fruit and a propel or flavored water.

I school my two girls so we do lunches at home. They most recently have fallen in love with “Honey Sandwiches”. I try and include some fruit and veggie sticks to make it just a little more well-rounded.

Best way to make kids’ lunches healthy and exciting? Variety! Change things up. Kids love dip – give them crackers & humus instead of just carrots & ranch dressing. Try rolling up turkey and cheese in tortillas instead of slapping a traditional sandwich together. Pack frozen grapes in a cold pack for an icy, cool dessert. Even try freezing individual containers of unsweetened applesauce…it’s almost like a fruit sorbet!

I try and pack finger foods since my little one thinks its so fun to eat with her hands.

Sometimes we make snack size packs of our favorite things to grab easy on the way out. Small bags of pretzels, crackers, trail mix help us to save and eat healthy.

i usually go for quick fix lunches…unfortunately not very cheap or healthy :(

I love adding hand written notes and a mini candy bar for a sweet treat! In terms of healthy – we pack lunches every day, often adding peanut butter, veggies and fruit for a nutrition packed lunch!

My daghter and I make mini banana yogurt chocolate chip muffins and freeze them in a large ziploc baggie. When she wants to pack some for luch we just take 3 or 4 out of the freezer and add to your box, they thaw by the time lunch comes! they are delicious, we use applesauce in place of the oil and sometimes use a mix of white, dark and or peanut butter swirl chips :)

I always include fruit. I try to use cookie cutters to make fun/interesting shapes. I always pack water!
