Every week I’ll pose a question for you to share your experiences and tips. If you have a question that you’d like me to post, I’d love to hear from you!
There have been a ton of great deals this holiday season. One of my favorites is this Radio Flyer Tailspin Trike (normally $89.99) that I got for my almost 3-year-old for $29.99. I paid for it with Swagbucks, making it an even better deal!
What’s the best deal you’ve gotten so far? Was it something you knew you wanted and watched for a sale or something unexpected? Did you splurge on any gifts even without a deal? What are you hoping to get for Christmas?

My husband and I were shopping at Walmart and came across a $225.00 Razor scooter (just what we wanted to get our 11 year old) that was mistakenly marked at $100.00. They wouldnt give it to us at $100.00 but they did offer it to us for $150.00! SCORE!

Just to let you know for next time… if something is mismarked…. they HAVE to give it to you at that price by law… which is why I am ALWAYS looking for the mismarked items!!!! Still a great deal!!!!

I can’t pick just one gift, but I do have over $500 in free items that will be under our tree this year. Coupons, sales and your site make a huge difference. If I could pick it would have to be using the $10 coupons from Lowes that we got from the Facebook Party. I used them on Cyber Monday and was able to snag $86 in tools for just $17!

I made out like the proverbial bandit using shortcuts.com this Christmas season. In addition to going thru their site to major companies like JC Penny,, Kmart, Home Depot and getting great sales on black Friday and cyber Monday, I am getting a cash back bonus of some $80 as each site offers from 2 to 25% cashback. I also found a great opportunity of buy K-cups (coffee), 24 per box for $6 a box at coffeewiz.com. I only wish I had purchased more than the 4 I bought. Also using shortcuts.com I was able to purchase printer ink at 123inkjets.com and got a 25% cashback bonus. JC Penny also gave an 8% cash back bonus. I cannot believe the great deals there were out there this year.

I’m grouponing it through Christmas this year. Nordstroms Rack groupons helped a lot. Most of us are not buying for each other this year. We are taking the time we would spend shopping and wrapping gifts and spending quality time together. Today I made bread with my grandma. The gift of smelling the fresh bread was a treasure.

The best one I’d have to say was an Iphone 3gs for $13 from RadioShack and an Otterbox from amazon.com for $15!

I think my best deal was a pool – it was on clearance at the end of september or october at our local Pamida for $50 (reg. 249.99), I also bought $10 worth of other sanitizers, scoops, etc that were 90% off. So for about $60, I think I got over a $300 gift – I got it for my brother and his fiancee (they have 4 kids), so hopefully they like it!

I was pretty happy with my Picaboo books I bought through Groupon voucher. All in all it was $34 to have 7 books made and shipped to me. They are really nice too.
I also made a basket of sample goodies for my Mother in Law that was made up of all FREE stuff. I only put the high quality stuff in there. She likes to try new things, so I think she’ll like it.

I got the Go Go walking pup for $27. I had a $10 target coupon, $5.00 manufactures coupon and a $5.00 target gift card. I waited for these to go on sale at target which went on sale for $47. Normal price is $55 so I got a really good deal.

Well, it’s been a rough month and a half, lost my job, had my van reposessed, utilities shut off, credit cards collectors burnin’ up my phone….but I did manage to get gifts for my parents, my sister and her fiance, my 2 year old son, my husband and my aunt with only $100, thanks to some really awesome deals at walmart.

Free Canvases ($55), Free Christmas Cards ($65) and a Free Photobook worth $40, Disney Cars Track for $11.50 (saved 75%) and so much more like that! They were all things I would have wanted to give, and wouldn’t have been able to otherwise! I have saved us so much money this Christmas – it’s awesome!

An $80 Sonicare toothbrush for $8. Walmart had it marked down to $38. Then I had a $20 off coupon and a $10 mail in rebate.

Lots of great deals this year … I don’t think I’ve bought anything without saving $$ in one way or another. My favorite wasn’t a gift, but a business purchase for our home business (this is the best time of year to buy almost everything). Hubby’s office needed a new printer and he found one that he liked which did all of the things he needed. It cost $399 down the street at Office Depot, I found it for $279 online with free shipping and no tax.

Over 147 Hasbro travel games FREE for our church toy giveaway! Used the $5 Hasbro coupons, (which it turned out they worked on ANY Hasbro travel game) at Target where the games were $4.99 ea. Plus I got the extra coupons FREE from a little FREE local community newspaper that always has an abbreviated version of the coupon brochures from the Sunday paper. The stores that have the paper said I’m usually about the only one that picks them up, so I could have all I wanted. More coupons went to games for troubled teens, and other disadvantaged children. Thank you Hasbro! God bless and Merry Christmas!
