New Crayola Crayons were one of my favorite back-to-school supplies as a kid. There was just something about a brand new pack of shiny, multi-colored crayons that inspired me to want to create colorful images of hearts and rainbows and all things sparkly and pretty that the imaginations of young girls conjure up. That waxy scent still takes me right back to the first day of 2nd grade, kind of like the smell of Playdoh reminds me of rainy day fun. . .

    I used to love the art class each year that you had to draw something on the black paper to reveal the color underneath now crayola has made it accessible everyday!

    When I was 6 years old I was bit by a dog and had to go to the hospital. Shortly after my family went on a trip and I still had stitches. My siblings went swimming which to us was a big deal. My Mom went and purchased me a Barbie coloring book and Crayola crayons. I ended up having one of the best vacations.
