Tara and I have been hard at work behind the scenes to make her vision for the most intuitive, user-friendly coupon database on the internet a reality, and we’re excited to announce its launch today!
The Deal Seeking Mom Coupon Database is a comprehensive listing of coupons from newspaper inserts and printable coupon sites such as Coupons.com, SmartSource.com and Redplum.com as well as e-coupons from CellFire and Upromise. We’ll be adding Bricks coupons and those listed on manufacturer sites as we go forward, but we didn’t want you to have to wait any longer to start using it!
A couple of the features that we’re very excited about include:
- An expandable view to give you even more information about each coupon, including limitations, product categories and subcategories.
- A blogging format field for bloggers that allows you to simply copy and paste the information for each coupon as you’re doing your coupon match-ups.
- A comprehensive search feature that allows you to sort coupons by brand, description, source and more.
Perhaps the most exciting feature, though, are the Personal Coupon Boxes! That’s right – you can create an account to keep track of all of the coupons you currently have in your stash to make your own personal shopping and saving easier. With your Personal Coupon Box, you can:
- Add your own regional or specialty coupons that aren’t in the main database.
- Edit the quantity of each coupon.
- Edit the expiration date on printable coupons based on the date you print them.
I’m still updating the database with the new printable coupons that came out today as well as this week’s inserts, and we have some tweaking to do as we figure out what works best for you, but we hope it will be a resource that helps you take your deal-seeking to the next level!
We welcome your comments and suggestions on any additional features that would make the database more useful to you. Feel free to email me at [email protected]!

Very very nice :) I’m sure this will be quite helpful!

This looks great! Thanks Girls! Just one question . . . how do you get to the database other than through this post? I didn’t see anything on your homepage with a quick link to get to it?

Ladies,
This is one amazing resource! I’m sure a lot of hard work went into it, so thank you for making our lives easier :)
Alicia

Yippee! I find that I am using increasing numbers of IP’s and had no way to keep track of exp. dates except to note on a calendar or search thru by hand. Needless to say I lost some nice high $ coupons with this system. The ability to input my own coupons will save me so much time, and my family so much $$, that I want to yell out a big THANK YOU!

Thank you so much! I can’t wait to use this.

LOVING this!
I had been tinkering around with a database of my own, but wasn’t having much success. Inputting was taking more time than it was worth, and I couldn’t find a good way to import. Your database looks GREAT. I adore the way it is set up – it matches the way I ‘think’ about my Q’s. Loving the mobile version idea for the future too! If I could give one suggestions – it would be a ‘notes’ field. But that’s certainly not a dealbreaker!!

I hope you don’t mind me commenting twice.. but I just entered last week’s Q’s and I am blown away! It’s even better than I first thought. Part of me thinks I’d like to be able to edit categories in my personal box – but then.. no not so much. I think I’d rather adjust my actual coupon box categories to your system.

I’ve been looking at this more, this is just an incredible resource, I think everyone will want to use this! :)

Is there any way to show regional coupons? Since a lot of coupons vary by region, is there any way to distinguish which region the coupon is from or can this be set up to search by region? Coupons are very different in different regions, both in the amounts and the types of coupons.

I already brag on you guys to everyone I know…and just when I didn’t know how you guys could get any better, you continue to exceed my wildest expectations! Keep up the amazing work and I can’t wait to try this out! Thank-you!

Thanks again, everyone!
Kristie, thanks for pointing out that I didn’t have it linked to the homepage. I was so excited to roll it out that it didn’t even cross my mind. I’d like to have a graphic made for it, but I placed some temporary links in the far right sidebar under the search box.
Laura
Have you thought about making this a downloadable application, either for PC/Mac or mobile?
Jenna
Hi ladies!
I can’t wait to check the database (in a minute)! I just had to say that for the last two years I had been experimenting with different ways to make my couponing easier and started using Excel spreadsheets as my database. I clipped coupons, organized them as usual by categories and added them to my database which includes Coupon Name, Value and Exp. Date. It makes it waaaay easy for me to print out the sheets each time I go shopping so instead of rummaging through coupons I can easily glance and check off. Then I just pull them out of my coupon organizer and voila! The only problem is that it is a little time consuming but I enjoy it – so much easier! Point being, I think I’m gonna love your database!
Julie
Love love love it!
I’ll watch for a button to add to my blog!
I have the same questions as comment #44. :D
Is there a regional system set up? That would make it so so so amazing! If, in the future you decide you need regional volunteers to help with the coupon values—I’m your girl!! haha. Your site is amazing!
