    Hi Tara,
I have an issue with that $5 off three coupon. The source is a grocery store ad that is scanned and put on their website for the customer’s convenience. It’s pretty similar to the CVS coupon controversy. The manufacturer doesn’t intend the coupon to be available in this way but store practices have made it available this way. In my opinion this is nothing less than a scanned coupon that’s not intended for printing and using.

You’ve got a valid point, Mercedes. I was under the impression that it was actually printable on the Bi-Lo site, but I’m not familiar with that store as they’re not in Ohio. I’m certainly not one to steer my readers towards questionable couponing, so I’m removing the Tylenol deal from the list.

However, I do feel like it’s time that companies start doing some due diligence and being proactive about about coupons made available by these conveniences. I think at this point a case can be made for both sides, and the ultimate issue is when people abuse them as we know happens frequently on some of the couponing boards.

I wholeheartedly agree with you Tara. Seeing a company put out a coupon in pdf form is one of my biggest pet peeves. It almost never fails that the company rescinds the coupon offer, case in point: Land of Frost, TGIFridays, Juicy Juice. They really need to think things through and take advantage on technology.

This coupon that you mentioned sounds as though it’s only good for the vitality toothbrushes or a power toothbrush, not a manual one that is in the ad. Does anyone else agree?

    USE $5/1 Oral-B Vitality or Premium Power Toothbrush, exp. 9-30-08 (P&G 8/31/08)

I think you’re right, Erin. They mentioned something about how you could make a case for the CrossAction being a Premium Power Toothbrush, and I kind of glossed over it and didn’t analyze it, so that’s my fault for not looking into it more. Thanks for pointing this out, and I’ll revise it now!

I tried to print some of the Swiffer coupons, but the site said they would mail them (which means waiting 6 weeks). Are there any others online that I can print to use this week?

Oh, darn, they must have changed it. I couldn’t find any printable coupons, but I did see there was a coupon in the P&G insert last Sunday for a free Swiffer Dusters kit when you buy a Swiffer WetJet or a Swiffer Sweeper. I hope that helps some!

Your deal entitled ” BUY 3 Children’s or Infant’s Tylenol, GET $5 RRs” really only applies to the Children’s and not the Infant’s Tylenol.
    1) The 1 oz Infant’s Tylenol is $9.99 and not $4.99
    2) The $3 mfr coupon does not list Infant, so it may not apply.

    Still a great deal on the Children’s … 3 for $ 2.47

Thanks for pointing that out, Ross! My paper had a coupon that was good on the Infant’s, but you’re right, I’m not seeing the Infant’s listed in the ad so the preview I used must have had incorrect information. I changed it!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
