Walgreens Double Dipping Days: 11/21/08 and 11/22/08

November 21, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski 22 Comments

Sorry I’m so late with these, but I spent ALL DAY yesterday cleaning my house. We had a photographer from the New York Times come take our picture! I can’t really share any details yet, but hopefully I won’t have to keep it confidential beyond tomorrow or Sunday.

So on to the deals . . .

::BUY 2 BioInfusion Hair Care at 2/$20, GET $10 ESRs (Nov. Book)::
$5/1 BioInfusion Hair Care (December ESR Book, pg. 11 – takes off $10 WYB 2)
FREE after coupon and ESRs!

::BUY 4 Hershey’s Dark Chocolate Kisses at 2/$5, GET $5 ESRs (Dec. Book)::
USE (4) $1/1 Hershey’s Miniatures, Kisses or Nuggets Special Dark Chocolates, 11 oz+, exp. 2-28-09 (SS 11/9/08)
$1/2 Hershey’s Kisses (November ESR Book, pg. 5 – takes off $2 WYB 4)
Better than FREE after coupons and ESRs!

Crest Spinbrush, $4.99
$2/1 Crest Spinbrush printable
-$3/1 Crest Spinbrush (December ESR Book)
FREE after coupons!
Sorry, not working after all.

The Crest Spinbrush didn’t work at my Walgreens. The ESR coupon is for the rechargable toothbrush, although the coupon doesn’t say that. Hope it works for some, but it didn’t for me!

It looks like the Nov ESR is only good on the Olive Oil or Shine Serum products which don’t come in the 33.8 oz size necessary for the December coupon. Also, I’ve read that there is a problem with the $3 spinbrush coupon only being good on the $18 toothbrush. :(

The toothbrush did the same thing to me today. Even though the wording was correct, they still went by the picture so this deal will not work. :(

I found another better than free deal. Bic Soleil razors and refills are on sale BOGO @ $6.99. Use the $3/1 coupon from the Nov. ES Catalog (counts twice) plus the $3 mfr coupon and you’ll get $2.01 in overage! MONEYMAKER!

Thanks for the heads up, ladies!

Amanda, have you printed it before? Printable coupons can be troublesome at times. You might check out some of these suggestiongs that I posted in the past. There’s some really good information in the comments too, so read everything.

Spinbrush Pro coupon form Easysaver does NOT work and the manager would not honor it even though I bought “spinbrush pro”. The wording is right but the pic is different and the coupon won’t scan.

Thanks for letting me know. I crossed that one off the list. That’s disappointing that they’re not honoring it since the wording is correct.

The manager at my Wags just manually rung in the 2 toothbrushes at a sale price of 1.99 each (4.99 minus 3 cpn), but then the register would only scan one of the printables. I figured I was still getting them for $1 each, so I just used the one cpn. Then I went back and bought 2 more and did the same thing, using 1 cpn. So I got 4 spinbrushes (which we wanted for the kids for Christmas) for 4.28 incl. tax!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
