To celebrate Mega Savings Event that runs at Kroger through September 2nd, General Mills and PepsiCo issued a challenge through My Blog Spark to see just how much the Deal Seeking Mom readers can get with $30.

I wasn’t able to head to the store myself because of my last-minute foot surgery last week, but Alyssa from Kingdom First Mom got everything pictured above for $33.29. Check out her post for information on how she saved over $100!

    Kroger Mega 10 saved me from having 2 spend $$$ (I don’t think I could actually spend $30 at Kroger lately):

    1 box Total Cereal
    1 box Cocoa Puffs Cereal
    1 Box Trix Cereal
    1 Package Yo-Plus Yogurt
    1 Yoplait Fiber-One Yogurt
    1 Toaster Scrambles Cheese, Egg and Bacon
    1 Betty Crocker Warm Delights
    1 Roasted Cashew Nature Valley Nut Clusters
    2 Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
    1 LB Bananas
    1/2 LB Roma Tomato
    1 Zyrtec 5-pack (childrens clearance for $3.89, used $3/1 PDF Q, adult dose is the equivalent of 2 kids doses)

    OOP The store owed me 0.15 so the kind male clerk zeroed out the total (and he laughed like he was glad for me LOL, love those young male clerks!)

    Found Qs for $9 free chicken and $3 free produce

    Found $0.38 cents change someone forgot from a previous transaction (love those abandoned change cups!)

    I WILL be going back to repeat this transaction to supplement the stockpile we got from the $275.00 in groceries I got for $10. in the Kroger super double Qs ~2 weeks ago

    I stock up on the BC cookie mixes. Use the 40 cpn to save 80 on each one. Great to have on hand for after school snacks or just even a quick, easy snack. Also, use the cpns for the Micro Magic treats. Easy, quick dessert in a minute.

    I’d love to win this. I shop at Kroger whenever we visit my family.

    My family likes the Macaroni Grill meals, with the $1 coupon, it makes for a pretty good deal.
