Well, I’m off the hook this year since I’m 5 months pregnant…BUT…usually I try to use portion control and get to the gym. Winter is a very difficult time to get motivated!!!

Step One: Get rid of all of the Christmas cookies!
Step Two: Drink lots of water.
    Step Three: Exercise.
Step Four: Eat smart, especially decrease fat intake.
Step Five: Remind myself daily….to take one day at a time!

I definitely step up my game after the new year. I don’t try to be “good” during the holidays, it just sets me up for failure. After New Year’s I have a “get back in gear” workout plan and hit the 1250 calories a day for a good month until I get back into the swing of things and then I lighten up. Works every year!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
