I’m excited to offer another fun 12 Days of Christmas series at Deal Seeking Mom. Each day through 12/7, I’ll post a new 3-day giveaway! Browse all of the giveaways here.

I love kitchen gadgets of all kinds, so I was excited to try out the Shenzhen Ceramic Knives after reading about the many benefits that ceramic knives offer over traditional steel knives:
- Ceramic knives stay sharper longer. They’re harder than steel and will hold their edge longer.
- They will not rust and and are easy to clean.
- Ceramic knives won’t affect the taste of food or cause it to turn brown.
- They’re lightweight, making them easy and comfortable to use.
So what’s my verdict? They certainly are every bit as sharp as their website says. My finger can attest to that, LOL. The only drawback I can see? Because ceramic knives are very delicate, they can’t be used for more aggressive chopping and deboning, so you will still need to have several steel knives on hand for these tasks.
The good news is that Shenzhen Ceramic Knives are a fantastic price for the quality compared to many other highly recommended ceramic knives. So if you’re looking for a good set of ceramic knives at a bargain price, this set fits the bill!

Four Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a 3-piece Shenzhen knife set (chef’s knife, slicing knife and paring knife) and peeler.
To enter, tell me how often you sharpen your knives. Do you just buy them and that’s it, or do you bring them in to get sharpened on a yearly basis?
Every reader has four methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two or three, for up to a total of 3 entries!!!

Rarely sharpen my knives, but do own a knife sharpener for the occasional need. I love good knives and have spent a lot of money to get the good ones. They make all the difference in the world.

My husband is in charge of sharpening the knives which he does about once a year using the electric knife sharpener. He uses the steel almost every time he uses them (I think he likes to feel like a chef on food network.) I don’t do either because I figure he does it enough for both of us.

I don’t even own a nice set of knives, just a couple of steak knives, so winning this set would be really nice!

I sharpen my knives when they lose their edge to the point that I can’t regain it with my steel. I use a ceramic whetstone to put the new edge on.
Diana
I have never sharpened my knives, but I really need to!

I sharpen my knives with a knife steel, weekly for my most used knives. It doesn’t work as good as the steels at work though! I need them professionally done.

Sharpen them? I buy “disposable” knives, ie. “cheap”!

I have to admit that I don’t sharpen my knives because I haven’t had any that are nice enough to do so. LOL! I do have one Pampered Chef one that has its own case with a built in sharpener, so I do use that on that one knife. Other than that, that is it!
Jeanette
I don’t think I have ever sharpened or had our knives sharpened. Something I should look into I am sure!

Wow~ I must be a terrible knife owner. I have never sharpened any of my knives. I am blessed to have some fine knives–I guess I figured I would just replace them when they exceeded their life expectancy. I don’t own any ceramics and for the longest time I didn’t cook, thereby stretching out their worth. LOL. Now that #4 is coming, I have been cooking consistently for the past several years as our family has grown in size. Thanks so much for this giveaway–what an awesome treat! :)
