12 Days of Christmas Giveaway: Win a Set of Handmade Olive Branch Wreaths!

November 27, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski

Come browse the 12 Days of Christmas Holiday Gift Guide for unique gifts from mompreneurs, inventors, artists and companies that give back. With more than 70 exclusive coupon codes, you’re sure to find something for everyone on your list!

Lindsay Olives WreathsLindsay Olives’
Handmade Olive Branch Wreaths

The first thing that struck me about my Lindsay Olives’ Handmade Holiday Olive Branch Wreath was just how good it smelled when I opened the box. Then I was struck by just how pretty it is. I immediately hung it on our front door, but if I’d have received it closer to Thanksgiving, I would have loved to use it as a centerpiece with a candle holder in the center like the photo on their website.

This would make a lovely hostess gift for a holiday dinner, and even better, your gift will also help feed the hungry. Lindsay Olives donates all proceeds from the sales of the wreaths to Meals On Wheels. I love it when gift giving and helping others go hand in hand!

More About Bell-Carter Foods, Inc. and Lindsay Olives
Although they’re now the largest producer of table olives in the U.S., Bell-Carter Foods, Inc. is still a family-run business that will never forget its roots — roots that run deep and wide with the way they care about their employees, the community, the environment, and the olive trees that their growers harvest. And just like the olive tree, they believe in taking their time as they grow to ensure they never lose sight of their values.

My favorite greenery at the holidays is mistletoe – even though I know it is detrimental to the foliage it lives on, it is the only greens I know of requiring me to be kissed!

My mom always bought pine roping when we picked up our Christmas tree. In years past I’ve tried using the artificial pine roping, but it just isn’t the same. The real stuff has such a fantastic smell and has an obviously natural appearance.

When we first moved to South Carolina I was taken back by all the
Magnolia Trees, Camilla bushes and holly trees that were green in the middle of winter.I have a Old Victorian house so we gathered up all those magnolia leaves and made wreathes for every window. How beautiful they were.We also put holly on all the mantels which by the way we have four.An we enjoy fresh camillas
    in vases year around.

I get free trimmings from Lowes’ and create wreaths and little bunches of greenery to decorate my candelabras.

While we’re picking out our tree, I also load up on free greenery from Lowe’s to decorate the mantles and tops of bookshelves. It makes the living room smell so good!

I have a thrifty was of using greenery… I gather the cuttings from when we get our Christmas tree and put them on the top of our book shelves and on the entry table. Great holiday color, smell and it’s FREE!!

The last few years I haven’t used any real greenery – partially because my mother is allergic to evergreens. What I like to see on my house and others? Simple elegance. Some people don’t realize that more is not always better.

I don’t usually decorate with a lot of greenery. Usually just our real christmas tree. I always think about getting a pretty wreath, it just never seems to happen.

My favorite holiday greenery is a pine wreath on the front door. Makes the whole house smell lovely!

I love holly but you have to be careful handling it – the leaves have sharp points and edges

These are beautiful! We always get real trees… they are better for the environment than the materials for fake trees, plus it promotes tree farms and is a great time way to have family time.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
