Bottled Up Designs
Olive Hoop Necklace
Who knew that old, broken glass could be turned into such beautiful jewelry? I get tons of compliments on my Olive Green Hoop Necklace. People are shocked when I tell them it came from a vintage wine bottle.
Therein lies the true beauty of these pieces. Each one is utterly unique and has its own personal story behind it, which is included with each jewelry piece. The only problem is you’ll find it tough to choose just one item with such an array of styles and colors.
More About Bottled Up Designs
An avid glass and bottle collector, Laura Bergman spent countless hours poking through the many old glass and bottle dumps scattered throughout the natural wooded habitats and rural farmlands in Pennsylvania. However, seeing the beauty and the history in the broken glass left behind, decided to pick up the pieces and turn them into something beautiful again.

I get several magazines & put them in a box when I’m done reading. So when the box is full, I take it to the recycle bin.

we recycle everything we can in our house, we have one of those large, trash can sized recycling bins, and it gets picked up every other week, but we could fill it twice in that time!

I recycle everything I can in my house. Old items go to the Re-Store that resells them to people in the community. Old clothing usually goes to charity or consignment shops. We recycle paper and plastic and metal.
I love reusing and recycling things. No one needs to throw away as much stuff as we do!

I use empty diaper boxes to store my kids’ clothes as they grow out of them. The boxes are all the same size, and they fit on my storage shelves.

I took a broken glass picture frame (frame was okay) and cut out a piece of mesh screen from a scrap I had and now I have a really cool earring holder.

We recycle egg cartons – as we buy local fresh eggs… once you have fresh it’s almost impossible to eat store bought!
Thanks for the opportunity

We have tried to be re-users for years…we buy less, pass along clothes, remake things, recycle, etc. In the past year I have made bags from kool-aid pouches, a bag to carry stuff in out of the plastic-y dog food bag, remade jeans into skirts, turned t-shirts into pillows, and lots of other stuff…I LOVE these necklaces…I love old glass and the colors it has. Thanks for showing us something beautiful saved from the landfill!
I love your site!
