What are the dairy prices like in Idaho and Utah? I’m wondering if they’ve skyrocketed and people are buying less because of it. Either way, it’s a nice break for you guys!

Hi Tara,
Winco brand milk is usually $2/gallon. Fred Meyer sometimes has their’s on sale for $2/ gallon as well. But keep in mind that I buy the cheapest I can find.
Amanda
I live in Utah. Smith’s frequently has milk for $1.67/gal. I can always find it under $2/gal. I don’t know how that compares to other parts of the country, but I don’t think it’s too high!
Laura
$1.67 is fantastic for milk! I wish we had those dairy coupons! Borden is priced $4.59/gal at Albertson’s, but I usually buy the store brand at CVS or Albertson’s for approx. $2.69/gal.

PS I’m in Idaho

Would anyone care to share a zip code? Mine isn’t working.
Melissa
Tara, I have a question. Would it be considered coupon fraud if I used the coupon in KY? The coupon does say reimbursement comes from the Idaho Dairy Products commission.
Melissa
I also live in Utah and I never pay more the $2 a gallon for milk. Its usually $1.66 at Walmart, but the cheapest I have bought it lately is $1.49. My zip is 84660
Melissa
Answered my own question…..I see the note to the consumer on the coupon that it is only to be used in ID and UT. Cant use in KY. Darn.
Angel
Melissa, thanks for the zip.

We have these in CA, too, but they are for Real California Milk only (but any brand, just has to have the seal on it)- they’ve been both in the Sunday paper and are printable off the dairy board’s website and have been out for any cheese, milk, butter, or product made with CA milk. AND there’s no limit on how many you can print- makes me wish I would have printed more when they had .50/1 milk. Now it’s .30/1 any dairy.

I live in Idaho and this is actually part of a promo by the Idaho Dairy council and a program called IdahoMoo4U (IdahoMoo4.com also has come great coupons, and they don’t seem to be region specific – they don’t say that anywhere on them anyway) If you are in a different state, you might try researching your dairy council…I bet several other states will be doing this as well. Did anyone else notice a recent drop in Target’s milk prices? I was really excited about that. (we don’t have a super Target, but they do have a small grocery section…and milk was always so high so I could never buy it there!) Have a great night!!

Wow, thanks! We’ve been going through milk like crazy and while I only pay $1.66 at Albertsons, paying under a $1 is fantastic! I’ll definitely be using this!

Wow…milk here in the Sooner state (Oklahoma) runs about $2.75/gal for skim milk…and that’s the generic store brands!!
Heather
I cant believe how cheap some places sell there milk. I live in TN and my milk costs me 4.00 a gallon.

I live in Ohio and checked the Dairy Association page and they had nothing for coupons. But, for those that do not know, at Kroger’s if you buy $20 in dairy products in a single purchase, you can get Healthy Rewards. This is a printout that you get when you finish your transaction for free items, which it is usually some type of event. A couple of months ago I did this twice in two seperate transactions and received a total of 2 free tickets to a Crew soccer game! I will include a link that you can check out that let’s you know the Healthy Rewards for June and July. I can’t remember what June was, but July’s is a free ticket to the Ohio State Fair! And, if I remember right, last year ‘s adult tickets to the fair was $11 each! I think you can change the region on the website and see if you have this deal going on in your part of the country, if you have a Kroger’s. https://www.drink-milk.com/
