This is a Good Deal... Today I stopped in @ Walmart w/ 2 FREE Olay Body Lotion wyb Olay Body Wash coupons. The Olay Body Quench wash(23.6fl) was $5.00 each, and the Olay Quench deep moisture Lotion was priced $7.77 for (20.2 fl.oz.)
So I paid $10.00 + tax for 2 body wash's
and Received $15.54 in FREE Lotion & w/the rebate I should receive another $15.54 so that's a $31.08 Money Maker.

Stacy, that is great, but if you factor in the money you spent, it's a $5.54 Money Maker and you got $25.54 in free products. Just don't want anyone to get confused.

I called the phone number on the rebate yesterday and the maximum rebate is $12.

and you can request 2 rebates (have to be mailed in same envelope). I've noticed $3 off the hand and body lotion in several magazines lately which paired with the rebate is also a very good deal

Can any one tell me exactly what part of the paper the coupon for the free lotion came in on 11/29?

Thanks!

Good Question:

Though it is a rebate, it says on the price paid... which if you use the above coupon, is "$0" (you get the quench for free w/purchase of body wash)

I'm wondering if you submit the rebate (It wants you to circle the price paid, which is zero..) if they won't give you a rebate because you didn't actually pay anything.

That is a good question. I was wondering the same thing. Does anyone know the answer to this?

Your buying the lotion and getting the body wash free...So the price will show up next to the item on the receipt

Reply

13 Christina December 11, 2009 at 12:17 pm

Actually, at least with my coupons, you'd be buying the body wash and getting the lotion free.

However, the original price will still display next to the product, and then the manufacturer's coupon will show underneath. Nothing will wring up at zero, so there still should be a price to circle. Although, since the wording is 'price paid' on the rebate it seems a bit unethical to me.

Ok...Duh on my last comment!!! But anyways...I did this yesterday but with a b1g1 free coupon...It has the price next to the item on the receipt it's not till they scan the coupons that the price comes off (and it's on the bottom of the receipt)...And by looking at my receipt you can't even tell what the coupon says...It just says Man. coupon -6.99....Hope this helps

Whether you use the "Buy Wash and get Lotion Free" coupon or go the rebate deal route, get the lotion and try it. I LOVE IT!!! (I used the B1G1 coupon last week at Walgreens when the wash was on sale for $2.99. ) Although San Diego, CA does not have the cold and dry weather most of you experience, I still need lotion here. And ladies, I keep it next to my COMPUTER! I use a little on my hands, let it soak in (it really does!) and it leaves no greasies on the keyboard. Awesome! I bought the deep moisture with the cocoa butter (red lettering). Enjoy and early Christmas gifting to all! :)

I am sorry but I hate Walgreens! Went to 2 walgreens today - all out. I am sad since this is such a great deal and would have made a great addition to my gift baskets. Walgreens is always out of stuff in my area. That is why I love CVS and Rite Aid.

The form says from 12/10 through 1/29. Anyone knows whether this deal is valid for purchases made before 12/10? Got the quench lotion free with a $8 trip at Rite Aid last week. If yes the would be a very sweet deal!

I just called the Olay Rebate Center 1-877-471-4885 which is specifically for this deal. They said that the rebate check will be issued for the price of the product and that COUPONS are okay. Basically the price at the top of the receipt that you circle.

Lee - she said the receipt must be dated within the offer dates, so you' re out of luck. SORRY!

HTH - happy shopping!

In the January 2010 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, there's a 3.00 off coupon towards the beginning.

Ladies, I just came back from Wags, no way I could use 2 coupons to get two and two and help to reach the $25.oo, the computer keeps beeping.... It seems to be only one per transaction ( coupon states one per purchase),a w, it is a very good deal, I am just still wondering about the rebate as long as we get the lotion for free...

21 Maria December 11, 2009 at 3:09 pm

Thanks Carrie, should be ok then.

Thanks for the info Carrie.

Maria, Did you have more coupons than items? (RR count as coupons)
One per purchase means per purchase of items indicated (one coupon per quench and body wash) which means you can use 2 coupons w/ two quenches and two body washes.

The computer only beeps at me @ walgreens if I have too many coupons versus items, in which case you need to throw a filler in.

The $3.00 off coupon is in the December Self magazine. Free magazine with a great coupon, too!

Kristin, no I did not, I did the rigth thing, I had 2 body lotions , 2 body washes, a couple of fillers , and two coupons BOGOF . Six items, only two coupons, and still the computer beeps, and do not let me use my second BOGOF. I do not know, the sales persons said it was only one per transaction, but I do not know...

There was a B1G1 coupon for lotion and a $3 coupon in the latest Woman's Heath magazine.

The Walgreens offer actually is spend $25.00 before coupons, you get $5.00 register rewards. My total was less and I did not get the register rewards, but it's still a good deal.

Jennifer, SELF magazine is free? Where would I get this?

28 CJ December 12, 2009 at 8:45 am

Is the $12 limit for each lotion, or for the total of 2 of them if you send them together? How can they impose a limit on it when it's not stated on the form?

Reply

29 hittingtheslopes December 12, 2009 at 10:33 am

same thing for me...couldn't do 2 coupons/order to reach the $25 limit ;-( so I had to use the coupons separately, unfortunately.

30 Karen December 12, 2009 at 11:52 am

Maybe it depends on the Walgreens. I got the $5.00 at a different Walgreens when I did the four day sale items earlier in the week. Can't complain, though, since you're really not supposed to get it if your total after coupons is that low! ;-)

31 hillary December 13, 2009 at 7:46 am

so do you need to submit two rebate forms in one envelope?

Reply

32 CJ December 13, 2009 at 10:09 am

Hillary - you just need one form, write the UPCs for both products in the spaces on the one form and include your receipt(s).

Reply

33 Mel December 13, 2009 at 10:21 am

It's $12 total rebate for both products purchased.

34 CJ December 13, 2009 at 10:40 am

I emailed the company telling them how misleading the rebate form is, if there really is a $12 maximum. They need to hear from customers how we feel about the miscommunication on this rebate.

Reply

35 Karen December 13, 2009 at 11:23 am

Who said there is a maximum of $12 rebate? I don't see it on the form and haven't heard of it anywhere but here. Where does this come from?

Reply

36 CJ December 13, 2009 at 2:26 pm

Karen - Many people who have called the toll free number on the form are being told the maximum refund is $12 even though it's not stated on the form.

Reply

37 Mel December 13, 2009 at 3:59 pm

I called and they told me it is $12 maximum.

Reply

38 Karen December 13, 2009 at 8:08 pm

That is so deceptive. Is there somewhere we can report them? They're basically encouraging consumers to buy 2, leading them to believe they will refund the full amount but only refunding one. No where on the form does it state a maximum amount. It's deceptive and unethical, maybe even illegal. I say let's report them!!!!! Where can we report them to? Maybe the state BBB they are based in?

Karen,
Why not just be grateful for the $12 they are willing to give you back, especially since you know ahead of time. Isn't is great to get 1 lotion completely free and maybe a second for cheap. I don't see the company complaining about us using the coupon to get it free AND then submitting for the money back again (as noted by the previous commenter who called and verified that it was ok to use a coupon and submit for the rebate.) Judging by the fact that you read this blog, you probably get tons for cheap and free already, do we have to berate companies for their rebate policies. I say chill out a little.

41 Karen December 14, 2009 at 9:09 am

I didn't know ahead of time because I have already bought and mailed in the form, and I bought two because they imply it's a full rebate on both. I would have purchased only one if it had been worded honestly on their part instead of misleading. What they are doing is deceptive and unethical, if not illegal.

I just called the phone number on the rebate form. She also said there is a $12 maximum, but she said that it was for each product. Just to clarify, I asked if I bought 2 of them for $9.99 (CVS price) and requested them on the same form, would I get $12 back or $19.98 back. She told me that I would get $19.98 back, a full rebate for both, as long as the price for each isn't over $12. This makes a lot more sense since the cheapest I have found them is at Walmart ($7.99 I think). Has anyone else received this same answer?

I was able to pull the form up earlier but couldn't print at that time. Now that I can print the rebate link isn't working for me. Anyone else have trouble?
