Today is National Fresh Breath Day, a day to discuss the importance of oral hygiene, and the importance of having minty fresh breath. Coincidentally, it also happens to be my 6-year-old daughter’s birthday — just look at those beautiful, pearly whites thanks to her new Sonicare for Kids toothbrush! (Happy Birthday, Baby!!!)
Seriously, this was a child that I battled with regularly over brushing her teeth, and she’s now thrilled to brush her teeth every morning, noon, and night. These brushes are on the pricey side, but the savings we’re sure to see on dental bills makes them a much more reasonable proposition. Three cheers for clean teeth without any arguments!
In celebration of National Fresh Breath Day, Sonicare would like to give one lucky Deal Seeking Mom two Sonicare brush head refills for the Sonicare toothbrush of your choice!
To enter, just tell me what teeth brushing is like in your household. Are you a three-times-a-day brusher? Is it a struggle to get your kids to brush their teeth regularly?
This giveaway ends at 11:59 a.m. ET on Monday, August 9th and is open to all U.S. residents 18 years or older. I’ll use Comment Contest to select the winning comment. Winner will be notified by email and listed on my Giveaway Winners page. Winners must respond within 24 hours of notification to claim their prize. Good luck!

Teeth Brushing isn’t necessarily a struggle, but my 7 year old definitely needs something to help him along, countless times I have sent him back to his bathroom to re-brush his teeth!

Twice a day brushers, followed by Listerine and Act mouthrinse. Flossing is a big thing here because cavaties in our household seem to crop up BETWEEN teeth.

Teeth brushing at my house is a ZOO! I have 7 kids and so when I say, “time to brush your teeth and get ready for bed” It takes literally a good 15 minutes before everyone is settled. We have all different singing toothbrushes going off at once, some kids brushing with regular toothpaste, some with kids toothpaste and some with baking soda after, some floss without being told every night, others fight just to get through the 2 minutes minimum…We end up with toothpaste and water everywhere. And it is fun!

We generally only brush our teeth once a day.

In my house its a struggle to get my 9 year old to brush her teeth but my 3 year old LOVES to brush her teeth. Coincidentally my 3 year old has horridly soft teeth and is constantly at the dentist while my 9 year old has super woman teeth and stay relatively nice no matter what. Since I’ve changed them to using the Agent Blue prerinse and power tooth brushes they are both doing much better. I don’t have to remind them nearly as often to brush. My 3 year old comes to me about 5 times a day now wanting to brush her teeth but my 9 year old still struggles.

We brush twice a day. it isnt really a struggle to get them brushing but more of a struggle to actually brush their teeth properly at the age of 1 and 2

I have 7 & 8 yr old daughters and brush time is very frustrating!! They try to brush their teeth without toothpaste sometimes or they just want to brush their front teeth! I have to always smell their breath to make sure they used the toothpaste! I bought them floss animal pics to floss their teeth and little pet shop cup holder and toothbrush holder. I even buy light up toothbrushes or singing ones to get them inspired to brush. So far they havent had a cavity which I am totally surprised but I wish it wasn’t such a struggle!

I’ve had a sonicare so long I’m actually on my second one because the first one finally died. I love it. Getting my daughter to brush her teeth is a challenge though. Right now she is more interested in eating the toothpaste then actually brushing her teeth.

Toothbrushing with my kids is not always pleasant. They enjoy for the first 10 seonds after that its a struggle!
As for me I brush 3 to 4 times a day. Can’t stand dirty teeth~!
Thanks for the opportunity to win!

Love Sonicare. I use it twice a day and i never have issues at the dentist. =)
Michelle
My kids have dental appliances in so keeping their teeth clean is very important. I never have to remind them now to do it. Would love to try the Sonicare system. Thanks

We brush our teeth twice a day….no problems with my 5 year old, but I often have to play game with my two year old to get him to cooperate! Like, “Oh I see goldfish in your teeth let me get that and what else did you eat today?” LOL.

We brush our teeth twice a day. Night time is easy to get my kids to brush them. But for some reason my son whines and fights me in the mornings.
Margaret
My husband is a great example in our house and brushes and flosses every night. It’s amazing!

My older kids brush with very little complaint. The four year old is the hardest though. It takes several minutes just to get her into the bathroom, then there is the inevitable playing, distractions and “I need a drink” before finally she settles down and brushes. I don’t have very healthy teeth myself (combination of bad genes and lack of dental insurance in the past) so I want to do all I can to make sure my kids take better care of their teeth and hopefully avoid some of the issues I have faced (and am still facing!).

My husband and I have sonicares, but it would be very nice to have one for the kids!! They are the best toothbrushes!

Teeth brushing for my kids is one of their morning ‘chores’, they know they have to do hair, teeth, and make their bed. Some days they need reminders… but basically it is now part of their morning routine.
Nancy
Teeth brushing can be a struggle at our house. Working it into the routines (getting ready for school and bed) does help.

We have struggles each day with my 9 & 7 year old. I have tried every angle with them. We have purchased the Tooth Tunes brushes that played music while you brush, Agent Blue mouth pre-rinse, every flavor of toothpaste imaginable. I have even given them toothbrushes that flash for 2 minutes just to keep them on track. I need something to entice them. Since my kids like motorized everything, I think a motorized toothbrush might be just what the dentist ordered!!! ; D
Elizabeth
It is part of the morning routine in our household. My daughter is in the stage right now where she thinks it’s fun for about 10 seconds and then she is done! This toothbrush sounds like she might enjoy doing it a little more (maybe we can make it to 30 seconds…ha!).

Teeth brushing is truly a struggle in our house most days. We have even had to resort to holding my 2 year old down! Not the kind of experience we want to go with teeth brushing. I have tried everything. This would be a blessing!

I’m a 2x’s a day brusher, but it’s like pulling teeth to get my wee ones to brush… hum. Electronic toothbrush are great, but since I’ve only purchased the cheap ones, I’ve noticed they tend to wear out quickly… This would be great to try. :)
Tracie L
I am a 2x’s a day brusher. Flosser and mouthwash rinser! My children who are 8 & 9 aruge regularly with me. Who’s children are they? They can’t possibly be mine.
lisa
twice a day, my husband sometimes 3 times.
Liz B
My 2 girls are good brushers but that 8 year old boy of mine is another whole story. He would be the winner or at least his teeth would be. I didn’t even know there was a Sonicare for children. Very cool!
nat
my grandkids love to brush their teeth and even like visiting the
dentist!! how times have changed!!!!!!!!!1
Angela
We’re twice-a-day at our house. I usually re-brush my two kids’ teeth after they have had their chance to brush on their own. The dentist always remarks on how clean and healthy our teeth are. The kids haven’t had any cavities yet!
Jessie
We brush twice a day, but the kids sometimes need repeats when they pop out in 5 seconds telling me they’re done :)
