I went to KMart today and they are also running a Buy $25 in P&G items in one purchase, Get a $10 MasterCard Debit. I had to go to the customer service center to ask for a rebate form. Combined with the coupons I had, I paid $5.36 and am sending in the rebate and getting the $10 MasterCard back. :)

Oh, the hard time Kmart gave me again!!! The last time they had this event in my area, there was an issue and I remember saying that I would only go there again if they have another double coupon event!!!
What happened to me today was that I had six items an six coupons. I told the cashier which ones that I wanted her to double, and she said I could only use 5 per the sign next to the register. I then said, "I understand, but I only want you to DOUBLE these 5 and the last one just the regular amount." She then called a manager over, who looked at me as if I was trying to rip them off and said to me, "Ma'am, I cannot reverse the system for you." UGHHH!!!! I again explained that I understood the sign and rules, but I just wanted them to take the 6th coupon off a the regular face value. The manager then told the cashier to try it out to see if it would take it and it did, only the cashier endedup manually doubling it for me anyways!!!! Sheesh!!! I also forgot to mention that I had tried two other cash register lanes before going to the one I ended up at, because all of them were having issues with customers!!!! Plus, I was late returning to work from my lunch hour and ended up having to snack on the cereal I bought as my lunch! And I'm pregnant!!! But, don't get me wrong----I will go back there six more times this week to take advantage of the event! :o)

I tried, and was quickly reminded why I hate Kmart and completely avoid it. I was told that the Kmart store I was at did NOT participate in these events. I tried to politely inform the cashiers that their corporate office said they were indeed participating in the event. They were ADAMANT about the fact that they were NOT going to double my coupons. So I left everything I was buying right there on the counter.

I would much rather give Target my business, even if it means paying a little bit more.

I went yesterday got 5 All laundry Detergent's for a total of $.65 and today I got two Aussie Shampoo's two dove deodorants and a carpet fresh all for $.49 . I'm going everyday this week!

Jamie: What coupons did you use for the Aussie Shampoo?
Yesterday I got All Detergent, today I'm hoping for Razors and Lysol. The whole 5 coupons thing is killing me. I never bought 4 of anything before, but I did use it to grocery shop. Kmart is really out of my way and not even worth it, but yesterday I went to my parents house and today I have to go help my brother look at Apartments otherwise for 5 coupons I totally wouldn't go out of my way.

So is the All coupon you are using good on ANY All? Mine says in the small print "$2.00 off any All 150oz or larger". I checked and it is $14 and some change! Is this coupon going through on the smaller All, or are you using a different Q?

Reply

7 jamie April 5, 2010 at 5:02 pm

@Dizzy I honestly have no idea where I got the Aussie Coupon , I just looked in the database and the only one listed is $2 off shampoo and styling aid.....not sure if maybe it went through anyway or if I had another one , Maybe I didnt read it very well.

@ Ang My All said 50 oz , i think the 150oz was a another one out. I dont know where I got mine, I have a friend that just sends them to me

2 Right Guard Deodorants, 1 Soft Scrub spray cleaner, 1 Bounce dryer bar, and 1 package of Pedigree DentaStix...all for $0.79! My K-Mart in PA actually had a "sign" on the counter addressing the coupon usage...5 per day up to $2 for the Rewards Card members. My cashier laughed when she said $0.79...I told her I'd be back every day this week (thankfully it's only 1 mile from where I work)..Now to go thru the coupons again to figure out which ones I'll use tomorrow!

I had my husband with me, so we both signed up for a card and did a total of 10 coupons in two transactions. My best deal was making twelve cents from buying tweezers and nail clippers, using two $1/one Revlon beauty tools coupon. My Kmart was running a promotions, buy one get one 1/2 off. One item was $2.99, one was $1.79. The special took 90 cents off for the $1.79, so $3.88 for both. Then $2 in coupons doubled to $4 off, viola, profit of twelve cents. My worst experience was the Quuaker true delights rice cakes, which were listed as part of the 10 for $10 campaign. However, I only bought 3 items, not 10, and so they rang up for $1.99 apiece. No where in my add does it say that you MUST buy 10, so I'm a little bitter about that. (I had a .75/one coupon, so ended up paying .50 apiece)

I did awesome. I got the Hartz Crunch n Clean dog biscuits, cat treats, new pantene pro v shampoo for super cheap. About .65 was my total. Then I also got a coupon catalina for $2 off milkbone dog biscuits making them free if I go back tomorrow! I have some more coupons I can use....although I know which cashiers to avoid. Makes the trip less of a hassle.

Just left the store after spending 2 hours with the store manager running different things.
1. Buy one get ones are the same as befor came out with 8 cans free.
2. Its 6 coupons per transaction that will double max. We tried 7 and the last one did not double.
3. Great news ladies and gentlemen... Its per transaction. You can do another transaction right away and it let's you use another 5 doubles.
4. Be patient with your staff from what I was told they are just as confused about the new rules. Also the store manager told me they were told per memo to only take 5 coupons per transaction max. Even if you have 5 3 dollar coupons that of course wont double.
Hope everybody has luck and this information helps. I went to school with the store manger so she was more then happy to work with me. If you have trouble and your store wont let you do 2 trans do one in the morning and one at night or go to different stores or even cashiers.

Oh yeah, i also had that $10 off $20 coupon that went around, but before i even walked in the door they had a sign up about it and how it was not meant for that store and would not be accepted. didnt shock me b/c the site said something about chicago. too bad im about 4 hours south of there!

Does anybody know if you can use the internet coupons or any coupons that say "Do Not Double on them"??? I would really like to know before I go to Kmart tomorrow.

Thank you all.

@ Lisa I used an internet printed coupon today, and in my experience coupons that say do not double usually double but dont completely trust me on that.

Lisa-

If the coupon starts with a 5 it will double

If it starts with a 9 it will NOT double.

Hope this helps you.

Christine Bondi- I read on another site that if there is any Kmart that is on the Master List of participating stores, and they say they aren;t participating, you should call corporate, they will call the store and inform the manager thay they ARE participating. But that even if they say they don't, the register automatically doubles, so it really doesnt matter if they say they aren't doing it. Also, they said if you go in, and they still give you problems, you should call from the store, and they will handle it right away, before you leave the store. Hope this helps anybody with that problem.

@Denise That's really odd since I purchased only 2 of the 7 Up sodas and used $1/1 q's. Had no problem getting the sodas for a dollar or using q's toward them. Got them free and only paid deposit.

My store won't accept internet printouts. Went to another and the same thing plus when I went to check out it didn't double. I had 2 1.50 off for 2 separate items and the cashier said it was doubled. Right! I didn't cause a fuss because of the line but did return the items. I went to 2 kmarts, target, and walmart today. Its not worth kmart to me. The prices are so jacked up and everyone has attitude. I'll spend a few more cents somewhere else without a doubled coupon but its so much easier.

I went to kmart and brought the Nivea body wash that's was $5.99not $4.49 like some sites had been reporting. Had to pay $1.99 for this body wash. I got the 25oz Pert Plus 2in1 shampoo it costed $5.15 only paid $1.15 for it. I also brought the Dentek Floss Picks for .99cents, and the Skintimate that I got for free. The shaving cream costed $3.79 & I had a $2 coupon when doubled made it free. I also got a box of Post Shredded Wheat for free had a $2 coupon for that as well.

I had a $5 gift card so OOP was $2.68, which was kind of high to me because of the taxes. Cause I live in Cook County, IL. Overall, I wouldn't go back to Kmart because I know I can get a better d.25 eal at Walmart. Plus, they didn't have some of the items I was looking for in the first place.

I went after work yesterday. Did 2 transactions (a card for me & my husband):

1st transaction:

5 Dove deodorant
used 4 $2 coupons (I tried to use 5 but they wouldn't take it because of my balance)
Paid 48 cents PLUS got $5 OYNO catalina!!

2nd transaction:

2 Dentastix
1 Tampax pearl
2 Pantene naturals shampoo
used $2 dentastix coupon
used $2 tampax coupon
used $2 pantene coupon (from vocalpoint)
Paid $2.78 because everything was over $4 original price

I'm not complaining though because of the catalina I actually made $1.74 shopping at Kmart yesterday! Can't wait to go back after work today!

I just got back from Kmart and the cashier had no idea the double event was going on!! She was impressed with my savings.

3 pieces of advice:
*You can do multiple transactions of 5 in a row with the same card.
*Scan the card FIRST to save all headache.
*If you know your store is participating, DONT ASK.

I got 2 of the gilette body washes, 1 softscrub [which was marked 2.99], 1 All detergent, 1 dove deoderant, and 1 pack of cough drops all for free.

I'm going back tonight with another carefully mapped out plan!

Hey just found your site...and wanted to share some freebies. So far I've got a total of like 8 Dove Ultimate Clear deodorants, 1 4-pack of Dove Bar soap, 1 Dove Men+Care Body Wash all for free plus $5.80 overage. First, Dove has the promotion where if you buy $15 in products you'll get $5.00 back at the register. So I used that to my advantage and used the coupons from http://www.dove.us/#/Offers/Coupons/default.aspx to get the deodorants free. Hope this helps. Have Fun!

I went to our Kmart yesterday and today! Our Kmart however is extremely adamant about only using 5 coupons and they are stressing (maybe it's just a scare tactic?) that you card will track it and will NOT allow you to sneak off to another Kmart to use 5 coupons all over again. I told the lady I wouldn't be wasting my energy going to another store right after leaving this one, and maybe by talking down to customers like that..that's the reason there are hardly any Kmarts left anymore. Geesh. They're always so rude in there!
Anways...
Yesterday I got 3 ComplEATS for 0.79 each (held onto 3 $1 peely pon's), Fruit Chillers for 0.99,
Today I got 2 boxes of Frosted Shredded Wheats on sale for 2/$5 - then I had $1.50 off pon which meant they were $1 box; Right Guard Total Defense 5 was on sale 2/$5, had 2 pons for $1.50 off/1 so I made a $1 on those (score!) and got 2 Ziploc reusable containers for $1 each (unless you take off that dollar I made on the deodorant!), and Kix for $1 after pon

I went to ours today and was glad I didn't have my kids with me! They were out of two of the things I'd planned to get so had to scramble with my coupons that I'd set aside for other days. I got the Kellogg's fruit snacks free, Reach floss free, Soft Scrub $1, Clean and Clear face scrub $1.19, and Jergen's lotion $1. Easter candy was 50% off so got a few bags of M&Ms at $1.49 apiece. Not the best deal but maybe when I go back later in the week they'll be cheaper. Ran into a problem checking out b/c the $2 coupon (internet printable) wouldn't double. I tried explaining it to the cashier who knew NOTHING about the promotion. She argued with me that they weren't participating but I'd called and knew they were. Finally she just added a $2 man. coupon discount to make it double. She was really rude about it but at least I got my $12 off!

My store was fine about the doubles. It ws the P&G rebate that was a fiasco. First they said they did not have tear-offs, it should print at register. No form. They said it must be he MQ (I knew that wasn't right). So I went back and repurchased everything w/o Qs- no form. After too long in the store with two 3 at the end of their patience (and mine). I left. The manger was very rude. I called corporate andlater that night recieved a call back from the manager saying the tearoffs were in the store all long! I guess I will go get my form and try again. Was it worth all that for a $4 Moneymaker on P&G?

??- Can I use my husbands card, or does he have to be with me?
Anyone else try doing another transaction in the same day?
Will 4 Dove deodor and one pack of Dove soap print the catalina? (any idea where the catalina info is so I can print it up to take ot the store!)

I got Oral B toothbrush, Gillette body wash, Revlon emery boards, Prep H wipes and Stayfree pads all for .31. The 5 coupon limit wasnt a much of a pain as I thought it would be as I couldnt really find anything else that would have been a good deal if I could have doubled more coupons.

I had no problems at all using my coupons, and them doubling, but I am disappointed with how much I spent. I rarely buy things just b/c they are free or super cheap though, so I shouldn't have expected to get out of there only spending a few cents. I got2 of the 40 load boxes of Gain for $6.99 and used a $1 coupon for each. Then went to Walmart and saw that thier 80 load box was on sale for $9.50, and with a $1 coupon, it would have been $1.48 cheaper! The only good deal I got was Windex multi surface on sale for $3, used a $1 coupon, making it $1, and Skintimate moisture shave $3.79, used a $2 coupon, and it took off $2 plus $1,79. I could have gotten a better deal on that at CVS though, b/c it's 3.99 and you get $3 ECB. I am going to go through my coupons tonight and see if there is anything I can get tomorrow, that will make it worth me getting into the Masters traffic here in Augusta.

I read on the shopyourwayrewards.com website that other members of the family are welcome to get there own card, so we could just all get multiples. I know I read somewhere that 6 coupons were being doubled and I can say for sure my Kmart is ONLY doing 5 coupons (at a time, i didnt try mulitple transactions in a row, my kmart is to slow for that) So far this week, I have gotten $121.00 worth of merchandise for $18 and since Kmart is only down the road it is well worth it for me, and I Personally like the 5 limit it helps keep things in stock.

@ everyone! :)
I really think your experience depends on your own store. I had a horrilble first day expereience (re: P&G form). the next day I went back to get the form and had a little better time. I had my husbands card with me and they were very reluctant to let me use it. Adamant that the rules meant 5 per PERSOn period. I talked her into it since I had such a rough previous day. I know there would have been no way they would have let me do 3 transactions in a row. So the moral of the Kmart doubles is: be prepared for anything!! In the long run I made money on both the P&G and dove deals so I guess it was worth the hastle.

Hey, can anybody tell me if the $2 doubled is for all stores? My Kmart is running this promo, BUT my coupons are just doubling UP TO $2, not taking my coupons beyond that. I used my Kmart rewards card too, have been there twice AND used my good coupons, and they are not doubling beyond the $2?? I called customer service and they said they only double up to the $2 mark. Anybody know why I am not getting beyond the $2?? Is this part a regional thing?

I would like to go back and buy more stuff for even cheaper, but have already lost some money with my high dollar Q's! =(

Thanks for all your help ladies!

Jo the two Kmarts I went to today (in Augusta, Ga) both doubled my $2 coupons, up to $4. I did have one that was for $1.50 off 4 cans of Chef Boyardee, and it wouldn;t double. It said do not double, and started with a 9. I got the 4 cans for $2.50 with the coupon, so it wasn't a big deal. I got those, fake toe nail (they were free, other wise I would NOT buy toenails! ha!), carefree panty liners, 3 bags of Hersheys Easter candy, and Dove deodorant for $7
At the other Kmart today, I got a bounce dyer bar, Visine, tweezers, nail art stickers, and a Kotex tampon tin with tampons in it for $4

I wanted to do the P&G buy $25, Get a $10 Prepaid MC so I bought 3 Pantenes that were $4.49 each & 3 Gillette bodywashes $4.45. Used 3 $2 Pantene coupons and 3 $2 Gillette bodywash coupons but since my store only doubles 5 coupons at a time, 2 coupons were doubled and the last one was not. After tax my total was exactly $6. So in the end all this is free with a $4 profit.

I have really tested out the system to see what the computer really was doing with the coupons--and here are the results:

1) Most of the employees have no Idea about the double coupons so don't bother to ask. If you store was on the list -- and most supercenters and Big Kmarts are, then the computer knows what to do, even if the cashiers, customers services reps and managers are clueless, but you might want to bring a copy of the email in case you run into any trouble.

2) You MUST use the Shop your way rewards card. The coupons WILL NOT double without it. (I tried it--trust me-- it doesn't work).

3) The computer seems to double 6 coupons on its own (with the rewards card) even though the email says 5. The first day I tried using 10 coupons (thinking that is what the previous restriction was) and only 6 doubled. The corporate e-mail says 5, so some stores may limit you to only giving them 5 coupons. The computer will double BOGO coupons if they are $2.00 or less. It will double coupons that say DO NOT DOUBLE if they start with a 5. It will NOT double coupons that say DO NOT DOUBLE if they start with a 9. It will only double six coupons (if the cashier will let you give them 6) any additional coupons (over 6) will not double per transaction.

4) The computer only restricts doubling six coupons for a single transaction. If you immediately go to another line (or even the same cashier) and use another six coupons (with the same rewards card) they WILL double, if the cashier will let you do it. Since a lot of employess are completely clueless about how it works, doing multiple transactions will work in many stores. I actually broke my order in two (I had ten coupons) and told the cashier I wanted to pay cash for the first order and credit for the second. She said, "OK, no problem." I used the same rewards card for both transactions (one right after the other with the same cashier) and all 5 coupons doubled in both transactions. Therefore, I would assume that you could also immediately go to other stores and use 6 more coupons if you wanted to. The rewards card is only restricting the doubling to 6 PER order, it apparantly does not have the ability to restrict you to 5 coupons PER DAY. When I came into Kmart my kids were thirsy and I had a $.50 coupon for 20 oz coke. I bought one coke for them to share, the coupon doubled with the rewards card. Then I did the two transactions mentioned above--10 coupons split into two transactions. On the way out, the kids asked if they could each have their own coke (they knew I had more coupons), so I went back to the same cashier with 4 coke coupons and did yet another transaction (with the same rewards card) and those coupons doubled too. So, I used a total of 15 coupons in 4 transactions (with the same cashier) and all of them doubled.

5) The computer will frequently mess up the doubling when the cashier selects the wrong items from the list or for coupons that are for multiple items. For example Oral B toothbrush coupon is $2.00 off two toothbrushes. One was priced at $2.79. The coupon should have doubled, but instead only took an additional $.79 off. This requires a trip to the service desk to get the balance of the $1.21 that you are entitled to. If you catch it BEFORE you pay, some cashiers will do a manual coupon for the balance, but most will not :(

6) I was able to get two rewards cards (one for myself and one for my husband), I just had to fill out both applications, but when I figured out that the 6 coupon restriction was just "Per Transaction", I did not have to use the other card.

7) You can use ONE Kmart coupon per transaction (not per item) in addition to the manufacturers coupon/double. If you go to KMart.com and sign up for e-mails, they will email you a $5 off $50 coupon for signing up for their e-mails. If you have other items to purchase in addtion to the potential $24 in free items (6 --$2.00 coupons doubled), you can use this coupon. Just make sure you present it FIRST to meet the $50 before they start deducting your coupons.

Hope this helps for the few remaining days of the doubles.

P. S. My KMart (in Fulton, NY) had all the "fall and winter" clothes on clearance --Men's, Women's and childrens (including PJ's and sweats) on sale for only $1.99 (excluding Winter coats which were $9.99). There were some great bargains including lots of short sleeve tee's and short jean skirts that could be used for spring and summer.
