So how did you make out with your coupons? Are the new policies helping keep the shelves better stocked than they have been in the past?

I got Oral B toothbrush, Gillette body wash, Revlon emery boards, Prep H wipes and Stayfree pads all for .31. The 5 coupon limit wasnt a much of a pain as I thought it would be as I couldnt really find anything else that would have been a good deal if I could have doubled more coupons.

My All coupon is also $2/1 any 50oz+ I’m in SoCal.

I had no problems at all using my coupons, and them doubling, but I am disappointed with how much I spent. I rarely buy things just b/c they are free or super cheap though, so I shouldn’t have expected to get out of there only spending a few cents. I got2 of the 40 load boxes of Gain for $6.99 and used a $1 coupon for each. Then went to Walmart and saw that thier 80 load box was on sale for $9.50, and with a $1 coupon, it would have been $1.48 cheaper! The only good deal I got was Windex multi surface on sale for $3, used a $1 coupon, making it $1, and Skintimate moisture shave $3.79, used a $2 coupon, and it took off $2 plus $1,79. I could have gotten a better deal on that at CVS though, b/c it’s 3.99 and you get $3 ECB. I am going to go through my coupons tonight and see if there is anything I can get tomorrow, that will make it worth me getting into the Masters traffic here in Augusta.

I guess no one read my previous comment… I did 3 transactions in a row using the same card. :)
sam
how is everyone using so many dove deodorant coupons. the coupon site only let me print 2. and each coupon has a different number so it’s not like you can copy it in the copy machine.
I went to kmart and ONLY spent .19cents
i got 2 aussie shampoo
floss
visine
reeses dark choclate
and a pair of pants.

Sam, copying coupons is ILLEGAL. The Dove deodorant coupons have been out for a while, and they reset often. Dove also mails out coupons

I read on the shopyourwayrewards.com website that other members of the family are welcome to get there own card, so we could just all get multiples. I know I read somewhere that 6 coupons were being doubled and I can say for sure my Kmart is ONLY doing 5 coupons (at a time, i didnt try mulitple transactions in a row, my kmart is to slow for that) So far this week, I have gotten $121.00 worth of merchandise for $18 and since Kmart is only down the road it is well worth it for me, and I Personally like the 5 limit it helps keep things in stock.

@sam – multiple computers ;)

@ everyone! :)
I really think your experience depends on your own store. I had a horrilble first day expereience (re: P&G form). the next day I went back to get the form and had a little better time. I had my husbands card with me and they were very reluctant to let me use it. Adamant that the rules meant 5 per PERSOn period. I talked her into it since I had such a rough previous day. I know there would have been no way they would have let me do 3 transactions in a row. So the moral of the Kmart doubles is: be prepared for anything!! In the long run I made money on both the P&G and dove deals so I guess it was worth the hastle.

Hey, can anybody tell me if the $2 doubled is for all stores? My Kmart is running this promo, BUT my coupons are just doubling UP TO $2, not taking my coupons beyond that. I used my Kmart rewards card too, have been there twice AND used my good coupons, and they are not doubling beyond the $2?? I called customer service and they said they only double up to the $2 mark. Anybody know why I am not getting beyond the $2?? Is this part a regional thing?
I would like to go back and buy more stuff for even cheaper, but have already lost some money with my high dollar Q’s! =(
Thanks for all your help ladies!

Jo the two Kmarts I went to today (in Augusta, Ga) both doubled my $2 coupons, up to $4. I did have one that was for $1.50 off 4 cans of Chef Boyardee, and it wouldn;t double. It said do not double, and started with a 9. I got the 4 cans for $2.50 with the coupon, so it wasn’t a big deal. I got those, fake toe nail (they were free, other wise I would NOT buy toenails! ha!), carefree panty liners, 3 bags of Hersheys Easter candy, and Dove deodorant for $7
At the other Kmart today, I got a bounce dyer bar, Visine, tweezers, nail art stickers, and a Kotex tampon tin with tampons in it for $4

I wanted to do the P&G buy $25, Get a $10 Prepaid MC so I bought 3 Pantenes that were $4.49 each & 3 Gillette bodywashes $4.45. Used 3 $2 Pantene coupons and 3 $2 Gillette bodywash coupons but since my store only doubles 5 coupons at a time, 2 coupons were doubled and the last one was not. After tax my total was exactly $6. So in the end all this is free with a $4 profit.

Does K-Mart Double BOGO Free coupons, ultimatly making both items free? =)

I have really tested out the system to see what the computer really was doing with the coupons–and here are the results:
1) Most of the employees have no Idea about the double coupons so don’t bother to ask. If you store was on the list — and most supercenters and Big Kmarts are, then the computer knows what to do, even if the cashiers, customers services reps and managers are clueless, but you might want to bring a copy of the email in case you run into any trouble.
2) You MUST use the Shop your way rewards card. The coupons WILL NOT double without it. (I tried it–trust me– it doesn’t work).
3) The computer seems to double 6 coupons on its own (with the rewards card) even though the email says 5. The first day I tried using 10 coupons (thinking that is what the previous restriction was) and only 6 doubled. The corporate e-mail says 5, so some stores may limit you to only giving them 5 coupons. The computer will double BOGO coupons if they are $2.00 or less. It will double coupons that say DO NOT DOUBLE if they start with a 5. It will NOT double coupons that say DO NOT DOUBLE if they start with a 9. It will only double six coupons (if the cashier will let you give them 6) any additional coupons (over 6) will not double per transaction.
4) The computer only restricts doubling six coupons for a single transaction. If you immediately go to another line (or even the same cashier) and use another six coupons (with the same rewards card) they WILL double, if the cashier will let you do it. Since a lot of employess are completely clueless about how it works, doing multiple transactions will work in many stores. I actually broke my order in two (I had ten coupons) and told the cashier I wanted to pay cash for the first order and credit for the second. She said, “OK, no problem.” I used the same rewards card for both transactions (one right after the other with the same cashier) and all 5 coupons doubled in both transactions. Therefore, I would assume that you could also immediately go to other stores and use 6 more coupons if you wanted to. The rewards card is only restricting the doubling to 6 PER order, it apparantly does not have the ability to restrict you to 5 coupons PER DAY. When I came into Kmart my kids were thirsy and I had a $.50 coupon for 20 oz coke. I bought one coke for them to share, the coupon doubled with the rewards card. Then I did the two transactions mentioned above–10 coupons split into two transactions. On the way out, the kids asked if they could each have their own coke (they knew I had more coupons), so I went back to the same cashier with 4 coke coupons and did yet another transaction (with the same rewards card) and those coupons doubled too. So, I used a total of 15 coupons in 4 transactions (with the same cashier) and all of them doubled.
5) The computer will frequently mess up the doubling when the cashier selects the wrong items from the list or for coupons that are for multiple items. For example Oral B toothbrush coupon is $2.00 off two toothbrushes. One was priced at $2.79. The coupon should have doubled, but instead only took an additional $.79 off. This requires a trip to the service desk to get the balance of the $1.21 that you are entitled to. If you catch it BEFORE you pay, some cashiers will do a manual coupon for the balance, but most will not :(
6) I was able to get two rewards cards (one for myself and one for my husband), I just had to fill out both applications, but when I figured out that the 6 coupon restriction was just “Per Transaction”, I did not have to use the other card.
7) You can use ONE Kmart coupon per transaction (not per item) in addition to the manufacturers coupon/double. If you go to KMart.com and sign up for e-mails, they will email you a $5 off $50 coupon for signing up for their e-mails. If you have other items to purchase in addtion to the potential $24 in free items (6 –$2.00 coupons doubled), you can use this coupon. Just make sure you present it FIRST to meet the $50 before they start deducting your coupons.
Hope this helps for the few remaining days of the doubles.
P. S. My KMart (in Fulton, NY) had all the “fall and winter” clothes on clearance –Men’s, Women’s and childrens (including PJ’s and sweats) on sale for only $1.99 (excluding Winter coats which were $9.99). There were some great bargains including lots of short sleeve tee’s and short jean skirts that could be used for spring and summer.
