Hi Tara!

Are the Fig Newtons and the Wheat Thins "snack size" packages? Thanks for your help :)

I'm not sure on the actual size in oz., but the sale is on the front page of the ad. It states "Nabisco Cookies or Crackers 4-8 oz., 5/$5 (Limit 10)." Hope that helps some!

Are there ever CVS deals on Lever bar soap?

Yes, they definitely come up. I don't recall when the last one was off the top of my head, but the sales cycles generally run on a six-week rotation, so just keep an eye out for it.

Do CVS ECB print out at the end of the transaction like Walgreens RR do?

Reply

6 Tara Kuczykowski April 26, 2010 at 11:00 am

Yes, they will print out with your receipt. However, unlike RRs, you can "roll" them on the same deal, so for example, you can use ECBs earned from purchasing Crest Toothpaste on another purchase of Crest Toothpaste and still receive more ECBs.

Gina yes they do. So if you know you are expecting a good amount of ECBs you can pay for your transactions separately and use the ECBs from the first transaction to make you oop less.

I didn't see the Wheat Thins in this week's circular, but I'm sending my wife there with four coupons in hand :) Hopefully it works out.

There's not a photo of them, Scott, but they're included in the 5/$5 Nabisco offer on the front page.

I just got mine! Wheat thins are 4oz box and Fig Newtons are 8oz box right next to each other. Also, I got the 2 CVS sun blocks for free. :)
Nice!

For ppl in the NC area, CVS for some reason isn't running the promo with the sunblock or the Fig Newtons and Wheat Thins. :(

I went into my CVS this morning and tried the sunblock deal with the $2.19 size...no ECBs :( The manager said it only works on certain sizes and the small size isn't one of them....anyone else have any luck making it work?

I did it this afternoon, and it worked for me, Shelby! Even the manager was cheering on the great deals I got today. It's always nice when they're excited too.

I didn't try the Sunblock deal. The in store signs say priced at 4.99 and up to get the $5 extra bucks. I did get the Wheat Thins and Fig Newtons. I printed 2 of each coupon and tried to purchase 2 of each product. I was told I could only use one of the same kind of coupon at a time. So I told them to put the 2 products back that I couldn't use the coupon for. I also picked up 2 Vitamin Waters. That are $1 each right now and I had a But 1 Get 1 free coupon. I had a .99 extrabuck from my reusable bag. My total for 2 Vitamin Waters, 1 Fig Newton and 1 Wheat Thins was $0.01. Thanks!

I stopped by another nearby CVS to use my other 2 coupons.

The sunblock worked for me too- All I could find was the 1.5 oz /$2.99 mini sunblock (comes attached to a carbiener clip)- the ad says cvs sunblock "starting at " $4.99- but my ECB's printed out no problem. And the wheat thins (snack/ travel size) and fig newtons (reg size) worked fine, bought two of each and had no problem with the coupons. Also got the irish spring body wash, package of pampers, pampers wipes, had $10 ECB from last week..... Out of pocket was $8.57, got $8 ECB's for next week, SWEET!

Thanks for the sunscreeen idea! The $1.99 SPF 15 worked for me (The SPF 30 was $2.19). I also had a $1 off of a CVS skin care product that worked too :D I only had a $4.50 ECB and everything else was free after coupons (YEAH!) so I was able to grab my daughter a package of goldfish crackers for $1.50 this week and still come ahead with a $5 ECB!!

I'm not sure what browser you're using, Melinda, but if you haven't tried Firefox, I'd recommend giving that a shot. I can't print any coupons in IE for some reason.

Thanks Tara! As always, you are so helpful!! I tried Firefox and got alittle closer but still no coupon. It said I needed to enable Java but when I followed the steps, it was already enabled? Then when I tried to click on the coupon pic it brought me to photobucket where the image originated? So strange! Oh well, I got the fig newton Q so I am off to CVS to get those and my sunscreen. Your site is AMAZING!!! Thanks so much for all you do :)

hmm I can't find the $1 fig newton...my cvs sells them for $4.59 each bag...it's with other crackers etc. Is the $1 fig newton placed somewhere else? my cvs has no more sunblock either =(

Esther, you could ask an employee to show you where they're located. They were listed on the front page of the ad. They were on the top shelf above the regular sizes at my store, but your store may have them elsewhere.

Just wondering if anyone knows if the sunblock deal is still working or if CVS has caught on to the low price? I won't be able to get to CVS until tomorrow..

Here in Akron, OH I just went to CVS with 2 each of the coupons for newtons and wheat thins. I also had a $2 ECB from previous transaction earlier this week. Picked up 2 of the 30spf for $2.19 each, 2 fig newtons and 2 wheat thins. Total oop was $2.65 before getting the $5 ECB at the end of the transaction. So it was like they paid me $1.35 to get all this stuff!!!!

I'm in NC....and the 2oz CVS sunblock would not generate ECB...boo!
