New Crayola Crayons were one of my favorite back-to-school supplies as a kid. There was just something about a brand new pack of shiny, multi-colored crayons that inspired me to want to create colorful images of hearts and rainbows and all things sparkly and pretty that the imaginations of young girls conjure up. That waxy scent still takes me right back to the first day of 2nd grade, kind of like the smell of Playdoh reminds me of rainy day fun. . .
I’m so glad that Crayola products have stood the test of time and are now inspiring a new generation of imaginations. And I’m happy to share with you about how you can join in the fun!
Every Tuesday night through the month of August, Crayola is sponsoring “Girls Night Out” on Twitter – the mommy social gathering featuring colorful and engaging discussions on all things back-to-school. Crayola has teamed up with MomItForward.com, the creator of “Girls Night Out” (GNO), to bring you the “Crayola Creativitycast.” The weekly series of GNO discussions will feature a new topic each week like “Affordable Fun 101” and “Back to School Survival Guide,” and all GNO participants will have the chance to win great prizes!
For more details about tonight’s #GNO chat and how to participate, go here.
Don’t worry if you’ve already got plans during these events – you also have the opportunity to win one of four Crayola Creativity Packs right here on Deal Seeking Mom!
The Crayola Creativity Pack includes:

Well my favorite memory, but not my mother’s, was over 35 years ago when I decided to be “creative” all up and down the wall that led to the upstairs. I remember when my artwork was complete, I ran and hid!!
Tara Shaw
I will always remember the smell of crayons and the feeling when you get that new box of unused crayons!
Diana Merrell
I still enjoy coloring! I would love to win this so I can donate it to my son’s class.
Mary
My favorite memory is using Crayola crayons and coloring books with my mother. We used to have such a good time coloring together.
Jennie
Finding the red crayon was always my first joy! For whatever reason, I always used up the red crayon in the previous box so I was most eager to see the brand new red one. Anyone else remember the Mr. Rogers video where they showed how crayons were made? Awesome memories. (I also have you in email reader!)
Stephanie
My favorite memory is coloring every page in the coloring book and I still enjoy coloring.

I always loved the box of 64 with the sharpener in it. I have two favorite menories. There are three of us girls. We would spend hours coloring in our coloring books. My favorite thing though, was my paper doll, P.J. I would create and color fashions for her. I loved it!!

My favorite memory is the first time I discovered that there were so many different kinds of blue in my box of Crayola crayons my favorite being Midnight Blue. Every picture I drew had that color added. Thank you!

My favorite as a kid were those colored pencils that you twist the top and they get longer! I loved that they never needed sharpening!

I loved taking crayon shavings and putting them between paper and then taking an iron over it to make a sort of stained glass look.
