I’ve been drooling over some amazing action camera videos I’ve been seeing on Instagram recently, and I often think how fun it would be to try capturing my family with one of these camcorders. The Vivitar DVR786 is a full HD action camcorder that records in 1080p quality. It features 12.1 megapixels and 4x digital zoom — but the extras are what really take it to the next level. Packaged along with the camera, you’ll receive a waterproof case (it’s submersible up to 30 feet!), both a bicycle and helmet mount, and a remote control. You’re really getting a ton of features for your money!

We’ve been very pleased with this action camera so far! I actually haven’t gotten to use it much myself, because my kids are always using it. I’d say it’s very durable — it’s stood up to their abuse with no issues. And it’s also very user friendly — they’re had no trouble downloading the video off of the camera. A full battery charge lasts about 30 minutes, which could be a little better, but overall for the price, the Vivitar DVR786 is a great way to see if an action camera is right for you without spending a ton of money.

    I would have Scotty follow us on the bike and film our cat following me while I walk the dog. My vet says that he has never even heard of such a thing. He follows the entire walk and back.
