Win-It Wednesday: Where’s Walrus Book + $150 Visa Cash Card (2 Winners!)

March 9, 2011 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!

In the new book, Where’s Walrus, an adventurous walrus escapes when he gets bored sitting around the zoo day after day. To disguise himself, the walrus tries on hats for different types of occupations. Is he a firefighter? Perhaps a walrus construction worker would be inconspicuous.

Author Stephen Savage is known for his illustrations, with Polar Bear Night being named New York Times Best Illustrated children’s book and an American Library Association notable book. In 2008, he received a Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators.

Two lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Where’s Walrus prize pack that includes:

  • a copy of Where’s Walrus
  • $150 Visa Cash Card to build your child’s library

To enter, tell me what your favorite children’s book is.

I have to pick just one? That’s hard….Goodnight Gorilla is a favorite & just had to be taped back together, so I’m thinking it was read the most. But Guess How Much I Love You, The Biggest Bed In the World, the whole Kissing Hand series (I think there are 3 or 4 about the racoon family) & since my oldest in is kindergarten & learning to read anything that is a beginning reader or level 1 at the library

My favorite are Dr. Suess books….any and all! Never met a child who wasn’t intrigued and actively listening to the stories, the rhyming and sing song nature draws kids in right away, I think!!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
