    I am a fan of Deal Seeking Mom and VSP…..eye appointments are so important. Not only does it check your vision, you can catch certain diseases, such as hypertension or diabetes, as well.

    “Most diabetes-related blindness can be prevented with an annual eye exam.” This is so true! My significant other who is a Type 2 diabetic had a small bleed inside the eye. The doctor saw it during his routine yearly visit. He just had a minor surgical procedure to correct and we are all thankful that this was caught early. :)

    I found it interesting to learn on their website that Kiwi is an eye healthy food. We love them in our house!

    I learned that a doctor can detect high cholesterol by looking at the blood vessels in your eyes! Who knew?
