Win-It Wednesday: USDA Process Verified Perdue Prize Pack!

Perdue recently became the first poultry company to receive the USDA Process Verified seal. Displaying the seal means the USDA has verified that Perdue products containing the seal contain meat from chickens raised without cages and/or fed an all vegetarian diet, something Perdue is very excited about.

To help celebrate Perdue’s new USDA seal, they are hosting a contest for a chance to win $4,000 and FREE chicken for a year. For a chance to win, submit your video to Perdue showing them your special chicken cooking skills and talents. The grand prize is $4,000 and a year’s supply of chicken. First place will receive $1,000 and a year’s supply of chicken, and second place will win the year’s supply of chicken.

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom winner will receive a Perdue prize pack that includes:

  • FlipCam
  • (5) $5 Perdue coupons
  • Kathleen Daeleman’s recipe book Cooking Thin with Chef Kathleen
  • Baking sheet

    How can one pick a favorite chicken dish? Port a pit chicken from northern Indiana is awesome. I like to cook a chicken in the crockpot and eat the meat plain too.

    My favorite chicken dish is chicken parm. But a close second is a dish my mom makes (don’t know the name) but it is oven baked breasts coated in garlic, cheese and crushed crackers! Yum!

    Crockpot 365’s Mulligatawny Soup is my favorite chicken dish right now…ummm…lick the bowl when you are done fantastic!!!

    I love chicken, so there are many chicken meals that I love! My favorite is probably a toss-up between orange chicken and homemade chicken noodle soup. They’re both so yummy!

    I love roasting a whole chicken in the oven. I’m actually making one on Monday. We’ll have mashed potatos, stuffing, gravy and cranberry with it. Yummmmm.
