    Since it’s close to Christmas, I thought of this.. When I was growing up, my mom used to leave gifts in our shoes (candy, lipgloss, toothbrushes, money, etc.) every night in December leading up to Christmas. We would just leave them by the fireplace before we went to bed and we alwasy had something to look forward to in the morning. My grandfather was from Belgium and that is a tradition there.

    We have passed on family “date” nights. We all do things together once a month or so My hubby kids, myself, grandparents, brother and siter and their spouses and kids. It is fun and keeps us all connected.
