    My boys and I decorate our bikes with red, white and blue streamers and ride around our neighborhood. (it reminds me of when I was a child in the ’70s and my brother and cousins and I would decorate our bikes and participate “in the parade” in my Grandparent’s small town)

    If the weather is nice we try to spend time together outside. Playing in the yard, maybe have the grill going. This year I get to see my sister whom I haven’t seen in over 2 years! We both recently had baby boys (mine is 6 months hers is 3 months) and the boys get to play together too! I couldn’t have asked for a better memorial day blessing!!!

    I don’t have a lot of Memorial Day traditions. Often it’s just a bunch of friends getting together for food and games.

    When I was a kid, we always visited the cemetery on Memorial Day, or would at least drive through and see the beautiful flags. As an adult, we don’t have any established tradition due to my husband’s work schedule.

    We always grill out on Memorial day and my husband go swimming in our pool (if it is warm enough!)

    We love to spend the day with all of the family cooking out and having a wonderful day enjoying great food. Playing vollyball, softball and many outdoor games.

    Memorial Day is the family bar-b-que summer kick off!! Food, family, fun and weather permitting, swimming. This year, homemade ice cream will be added to the menu :)
