My four-year-old daughter took one look at the sparkly and colorful cover of Shoe-La-La! and proclaimed that we must sit down and read it immediately — we’ve now read it 462 times in the past two days…

Well, maybe that’s exaggerating a little, but she adored it from the start, and she’s probably asked me to read it at least that many times! That said, it really is a great children’s book, and I love that it inspires kids to get creative and think outside of the box.

Meet four girls who love shoes: SHOE-LA-LA!

“Shoes with zippers, Shoes with straps, Shoes with buckles, Shoes with taps”.

Prance from page to page in search of the perfect pair of party shoes. Girls of all ages will love to go on a shoe shopping expedition with these four friends, from “fuzzy boots for when it snows” to “ballerinas on our toes.” The girls try on every shoe in the store, but “eeny, meeny, my, oh, my [they] just don’t know which shoes to buy.” With some feathers and glitter, a little bit of glue, and a LOT of imagination, the girls come up with the best shoes of all!

    Honestly, I love my old sneakers, they are two years old, yes need an upgrade badly! Silver and light blue nikes that I got for a bargin of $25! My daughter was young then I could afford to buy myself shoes! :) I only own that pair of sneakers and one pair of fake uggs that the soles just broke in and my feet get wet! Not good living in Iowa!

    I have platforms that remind me of Barbie shoes :) Weird, i know, since i’m 40 but I LOVE them.

    My favorite shoes are my Steve Madden boots. They have a two inch heel, so they give me height, they are great quality (had ’em for seven years), and classic pull on style that’s really comfy!

    Currently my favorite pair of shoes are my Skechers Black/White/Silver tennis shoes…I love them with my black slacks and whatever blouse/shirt I choose for the day (my “Uniform” if you will)…they are very comfortable and look “cool” too!

    My favorite pair of shoes are a basic black short boot with a mid heel – they go with so many things from jeans to dress pants! And the mid sized heel gives me some height but my feet aren’t killing me at the end of the day (or night!). Love shoes!

    I love anything that slips on. My favorites are wedge mules that make me look 4 inches taller but don’t make me feel like I’m about to fall over, LOL!

    My favorite pair of shoes are shiny red heels – which I don’t actually own and would have very little occasion to wear. :-) My love-them-AND-wear-them shoes are six year old Clarks clogs that I bought when I was pregnant with my first child and was working at a hospital – i.e., on my feet all day. They are the best shoes I’ve ever had and I still wear them all the time!
