My four-year-old daughter took one look at the sparkly and colorful cover of Shoe-La-La! and proclaimed that we must sit down and read it immediately — we’ve now read it 462 times in the past two days…

Well, maybe that’s exaggerating a little, but she adored it from the start, and she’s probably asked me to read it at least that many times! That said, it really is a great children’s book, and I love that it inspires kids to get creative and think outside of the box.

Meet four girls who love shoes: SHOE-LA-LA!

“Shoes with zippers, Shoes with straps, Shoes with buckles, Shoes with taps”.

Prance from page to page in search of the perfect pair of party shoes. Girls of all ages will love to go on a shoe shopping expedition with these four friends, from “fuzzy boots for when it snows” to “ballerinas on our toes.” The girls try on every shoe in the store, but “eeny, meeny, my, oh, my [they] just don’t know which shoes to buy.” With some feathers and glitter, a little bit of glue, and a LOT of imagination, the girls come up with the best shoes of all!

    my favorite shoes are ones that do not have backs as the back of my heels are in constant pain. mules, crocs or even barefoot work wonders,

    My favorite shoes at the moment are my Reebok Easytones. I got a good deal on them @ 6pm.com. Who knows if they really “tone” but they are super comfy!

    My favorite pair of shoes are sandals that are so comfy they feel like I’m floating on a cloud but yet are open and airy so my feet don’t get sweaty either.

    I can’t wear my favorite pair of shoes anymore, but I still have them. They are sandals with about an inch and a half heel, and three straps, beige, brown, and black. I could wear them with so many things because of the 3 different colors.

    I love my clogs from Eddie Bauer. Bought them years ago, but didn’t start wearing until about 2005. They have wooden soles and suede uppers. They are uber comfortable. The arch hits in just the right place. Wish I had 10 more pairs!!! But alas, EB doesn’t sell them any longer. :(

    I am a happy email subscriber, twitter follower and also am an avid shoe lover. I have the most wonderful pair of 4in, peep-toe, red satin pumps with the most beautiful bow peeking out on the side. Made for the holidays but sassy enough to wear all year round!

    I have a pair of black suede ballet flats that I can wear with almost anything. I wear them with tunics and leggings, skinny jeans, and dresses. I have my eye on a pair of purple ones.

    shame to admit it but they look horrible, they were once such nice white tennis shoes, now they are filthy and gross but the most comfortable pair i own
