My four-year-old daughter took one look at the sparkly and colorful cover of Shoe-La-La! and proclaimed that we must sit down and read it immediately — we’ve now read it 462 times in the past two days…

Well, maybe that’s exaggerating a little, but she adored it from the start, and she’s probably asked me to read it at least that many times! That said, it really is a great children’s book, and I love that it inspires kids to get creative and think outside of the box.

Meet four girls who love shoes: SHOE-LA-LA!

“Shoes with zippers, Shoes with straps, Shoes with buckles, Shoes with taps”.

Prance from page to page in search of the perfect pair of party shoes. Girls of all ages will love to go on a shoe shopping expedition with these four friends, from “fuzzy boots for when it snows” to “ballerinas on our toes.” The girls try on every shoe in the store, but “eeny, meeny, my, oh, my [they] just don’t know which shoes to buy.” With some feathers and glitter, a little bit of glue, and a LOT of imagination, the girls come up with the best shoes of all!

    my most worn favorite pair of shoes are a pair of brown leather docker slides. Sadly I don’t think they make them anymore and mine are about worn out.

    Ooohhh! It’s so hard to pick just one…love my Black Patent Wedges…feel very sexy wearing these but not the best for comfort!

    My fave shoes are my uggs! Up north where its cold… theres nothing more practical then shoes I can wear 7 months out of the year. Im an email subscriber as well.

    My favorite pair of shoes are my Mizuno Wave Runner running shoes. They are magenta and white and they carried me across the finish line of my first half marathon. They probably have way too many miles on them now, but I’ll never give those babies up! :)

    My Clark’s black clogs clogs that have walked many moons with me. Seriously, they are so worn that they are starting to hurt my feet. But I love them so much. I bought them new for $3 at thrift store about two years ago.
