My four-year-old daughter took one look at the sparkly and colorful cover of Shoe-La-La! and proclaimed that we must sit down and read it immediately — we’ve now read it 462 times in the past two days…

Well, maybe that’s exaggerating a little, but she adored it from the start, and she’s probably asked me to read it at least that many times! That said, it really is a great children’s book, and I love that it inspires kids to get creative and think outside of the box.

Meet four girls who love shoes: SHOE-LA-LA!

“Shoes with zippers, Shoes with straps, Shoes with buckles, Shoes with taps”.

Prance from page to page in search of the perfect pair of party shoes. Girls of all ages will love to go on a shoe shopping expedition with these four friends, from “fuzzy boots for when it snows” to “ballerinas on our toes.” The girls try on every shoe in the store, but “eeny, meeny, my, oh, my [they] just don’t know which shoes to buy.” With some feathers and glitter, a little bit of glue, and a LOT of imagination, the girls come up with the best shoes of all!

    My favs are a pair of black suede clogs from Naturalizer. They are my go-to house shoes, car shoes, walking shoes, and most importantly under my desk they are my “I can’t wear these 3inch heels anymore” shoes.

    My favorite pair of shoes is a pair I just got via Shoe Dazzle – 4-inch grey stiletto peep-toe boots with fun silver hardware and zippers. It adds something fun to my usually conservative chic wardrobe – I love them! It’s like putting on an alter ego each time I wear them. Would love to put that Zappos card to good use and share my love of shoes with one of the little girls in my life!

    I love any kind of flip flops. My favorite brand is probably yellow box flip flop. They have some many desighns to choose from.

    My favorite pair of shoes in a black suede pair of boots has a low heal that zipps up the side. Very comfortable :)
